I would tihkn its too ricey on a Mercedes! If it is a Japanese one that i would like it. I believe that we as Mercedes owners are limited to what we can do to our cars lol

Ha, Ha! Well, I'm trying to make my CLK unique. I bought the shift knob from a member here, it's very rare to find a Brabus shift knob in the classified section, so when I saw it, I snatched it up! It looks great! I will try to take some pictures this week.

Is your brabus shift knob will light up at night? I mean the word "BRABUS".

You know.......I very very rarely need to ask anyone here "How to" when it come to installation. If you look at the part and try to understand the way it designed, common sense usually kick in and you know how to remove and install the parts. If you look at Evan's car or your Clk shift knob, it obvious that you must need to remove the shift rubber boot. So grap one corner of the boot at the bottom and pully up slowly. It will pop out the roll the rubber boot over the shift knob and ............VOILA....and un-screw the nut on the shift and pyll the shift know straight up.

Anyway, the shift know would look very nice if the light match the interior light. I believe Mercedes latest "start/stop" shift knob lite up at night. Btw, talking about "rices out" mods..........

I've got the same shifter as Gary (Advans) and 2MCHCAR and waited forever to get it at a decent price Good luck with your search, I believe they retail for $375 or so, but they no longer come with the Alcantara trim.

Changing the bulb...it would seem "easy" but the 5mm bulbs out there will blow out once u tap it into the car power. you'll need either resistors or some high voltage 5mm bulb.

I found a higher voltage 5mm white bulb, and added a few resistors...it took WEEKS to figure out the final product, and took a lot of testing!

Advans, how did you get access to the bulb? Underneath where all the wiring is or through the top where the "B" is?
