Check your air filters NOW.

Ok guys this is what I saw when I took out the oem filters and replaced with K&N . I also cleaned my MAF sensor too.

yeah, i always checl my filters...almost every week....theres a lot of crap stuck in the ram holes.

I checked mine already, but they are not as bad as yours. But I washed it anyways. My friends thought that I'm crazy. The bad thing is these bolts are easily stripped......... And also since I opened it, I found out that my valve cover is leaking. I think I told you about this a while back Andy. LOL you just reminded me about it.

Wow. Mine looked about the same when I first checked it around 25K miles. After changing to the K&N's I checked it again, around 15K miles after that and it did not look as bad. Most likely because I live in OC and pretty much drive the car in the city or the freeway.

I have a 2003 CLK55 and mine looked nearly identical. Didn't think about cleaning the air flow sensor though. Thanks for the visual reminder.

next time if you clean your air filters clean the MAF too
