Haha.

I hear ya guys! haha

I like this forum, because on the other forums, you never get encouraged or urged to do things with your ride.

Alot of the guys on some other Benz forums are just, well, indifferent, when it comes to modding.

Well done.

Where did you guys get the longer bolts??? H&R???
I only can find where to get the spacer....
What is the original length of our bolts???

I am going to use 10mm maybe 12mm spacer on my car???
Will there be any issue to put them on???
My car is 09 CLK350 with AMG package and AMG 17" rims
Front 7.5 J x 17 ET 37
Rear 8.5 J x 17 ET 30

Thanks for any input....

Can I go more wilder??? 15mm???

you should be able to order the bolts from where ever you order the spacers from.

Yeah, I have 15mm on the back with 9.5" wheels.

Have you had your arches roled?

Only, I haven't, and so far, all has been well.

But mine does need lowering abit though.

I measure my car last night.....
I think you can go with 12mm without any issue, if my measurement is correct....

For those members who has the spacers on the car, do you guys keep your original lug bolts???
Could you please tell me the spec. of the lug bolts???
I have been searched all night, I couldn't find the information about our original lug bolts.

I think each set up is different. Depends on your wheels, you might have to measure them yourself. If you're going to be running the same wheels, you can just take off one of your wheels and measure the length of the bolt sticking out. Then you can figure how much bolt you're going to need. Usually though, you just add the width of the spacer to the length of the original bolt (and I don't know what the length of those are).

To give you an idea, with 15 mm spacers up front, I'm running 45mm bolts. You have to be careful that you DO NOT get bolts that are too long.

I know....but it is snowing outside and I don't have a garage...
So that's why I am asking for help....

I just want to know the spec of the factory bolts came with the car...I think every W209 CLK has the same bolts when it came out of the factory.....
If I know the original length of the bolts came with the car...so I can calculate the proper length for the spacer i'm gonna use...
Thanks!!!

Yeah, I had my fenders rolled, just in case. The guys at CEC/Brabus did a great job and the fit is perfect!

Most likely, yes. Stock wheels don't have the offset that would require a fender rolling with spacers, IMHO

You sure it's not 55 mm bolts with 15mm spacers?

It's going to be our first snow tomorrow

If my memory serves me right, OEM bolt is ball seat 12x1.5 38mm. You should be able to search here, W203 and W209 use the same bolts. Please make sure when you test fit, there's no clicking noise.

Thanks, I found it.
But someone said it is 12X1.5 39mm and the other one said it is 12X1.5 39.9mm. Which on is correct???

I also found it here.

They manufacture the wheel lock for Mercedes.

Hmm. Good move.

Glad they did a good job.

I'll see how I get on.
It's pretty close though.

I've nailed the car a few times now without any problems, so I may leave it for now.

Rolling arches I would probably leave until the weather's better.
Probably won't drive it as much when the winter sets in (we've had a really mild one so far! - too many V8's on the road warming the earth up! LOL).

That's why I said that it depends on your wheels. I read somewhere that it was supposed to be 55mm, so I bought a set and they worked fine when I was using my stock wheels with spacers. When I finally threw on my Carlsson's after they came out of the shop, I would hear these little noises coming from my front wheel wells while driving. I switched to 45mm bolts and that noise went away. That noise was driving me crazy.

All in all, I'm not sure of the exact calculation of what bolt length is right for your car, but I think it's a little trial and error. I still run 55mm bolts in the rear with 25mm spacers.

I don't think it really matters too much on the brand as long as they're hubcentric. I had generic ones that I used off ebay and they worked fine for the rear. When I went wider, I just ended up getting another set of H&R. I could never find a generic set for the front, so I've had H&R.

For pricing and part numbers, you can look here.
