Spacer Q

Hey Guys,

I need to get spacer for my mandrus millennium: 19x9.5 with 2.5 lip 265/30R19 should i rock 10mm or 12mm spacers to flush it out? I don't have a drop and i'll be getting the H&R Coilovers in a month or two and i want a flush look.

Also, What is a good brand of spacers to get that won't rattle or ruin my ride quiality? Do i need extended bolts or will the OEM ones fit? Lastly, where can i get this and how much will it run me?

Thanks

lip size has NOTHING to do with your fitment. what you need to look for is the offset to your wheel. it's located usually on the inside of one of the spokes on the back of the wheel. should say "+32" or a different number. from there we can determine your spacer size.

i believe the offset is 35. i'm pretty sure Mandrus only offers one offset for their 18" wheels.

EDIT: I see a x5, so guessing 25 or 35?

A lot of times it will say et __ as the offset. It can get tricky to read. I was just looking at a used set of rims yesterday and could barely make it out but that one said et 32.

According to Mandrus' site it says their 19x9.5 has an offset of et 35 weather it be an 18 or 19. That being said if your Mandrus wheels are made for a CLK.

Side note,Do you mind me asking how much your set of rims and tires cost you

Yes the wheels are made for a CLK from what i was told. As far as the pricing, i didn't buy the wheels, they came with the car. I'm actually putting these spacers on them untill i find a set of stocks i can swap.

Anyone know if i have a 35mm if i should do 10,12 or 15mm to get a flush look with my 265 tires?

I'm running 18" wheels and have H&R coilovers. I don't know how low you're going to go, but my offset in the front is 20mm (Front wheels are ET35 + 15mm H&R spacers) and 15mm offset in the rear (Rear wheels are ET40 + 25mm spacer). My wheels aren't as wide as yours, so you might have some issues with rubbing your fender depending on how low you go and your tire size. At least you'll be able to adjust your ride height with the coilovers. I'd recommend getting your fenders rolled if they aren't already. Good luck.

Oh yeah... would definitely need extended bolts. Can't tell you exactly what size you'd need since each setup is different, but for reference I have 45mm bolts up front and 55mm bolts in the rear.

Thanks for the input, it seems your wheels are not as wide as mine. I'm still not sure as to what size spacers to go with. I was hoping someone with a setup close to mine can chim in and tell me if i should do 12 or 15mm spacers and what bolts.

I'm running Mandrus Emils 19x8.5 35offset (all around) and I just installed H&R 25mm spacers on the rears because I thought that would make up for not going staggered, apparently my ration el was wrong as I thought an 8.5 wide wheel + a 25mm spacer = 9.5 wheel but I guess that's wrong, I was told I am running closer to a 10 inch wheel now because of the way spacers are meased from offset and the center of the wheel...but now my fronts look sunken in and I ordered some 10mm for the fronts. The rears are as flush as it gets w/ out any poke-spot on. Also, are you lowered? Tire size/brand might make a difference too. My advice goes like this - make sure to get your fenders rolled BEFORE you install them. I shaved the top half of my sidewalls off before I could get an appointment w/ fender roller. A little messy, gotta scrape that tire goop out from between the tire/fender and a golf ball sized glob off the fender itself My spacers came with bolts to bolt the spacer to the car and I used my old luggs to bolt the wheel to the spacer, but there are different applications - I think the smallest application that bolts up like I just explained is 20mm (from H&R anyways) I don't know if I helped you more than confused you but good luck, you won't be dissapointed, besides looking cool your car will handle WAY better too.

You can only go with 10mm spacer if you decide to lower your car in the future. You will run into rubbing problem if you lower your car with one finger fender gap. The rubbing area is where the fender and bumper meet. It an easy fix just by filed down the fender and bumper rubbing area like I did on mine

Yes, you will definitely need longer bolt and I only recommend H&R spacer. As for what type of bolt head and how long the bolt you will need, you will have to determine these on your own by looking at your wheel because not all wheel manufacturers design base on Mercedes wheel. Click on the link below and then click on "product gallery" to help you determine the type of head bolt for your wheel and how long the bolt would need to be with the 10mm spacer.

Thanks
