I got the same kit too. Btw, were you able to install the bulbs tight fit like factory?

since you are going with the 8000K for the headlights, I would go with the 8000k for the fogs as well. Personally, I hate 3000k.

No, it is a direct replacement for the stock bulbs.

I found a way by cutting out the old bulb holder (H7) and used it as a locking ring. The fitment as tight as the factory. See my post #250.

For me replacing the fog lights (9006) was just plug and play with the ballasts and the bulbs no mods needed, for the head lights (H7), I ended up drilling a hole in the cover for the light housing and using the supplied gromets that came with my conversion kit. Other than that it was pretty easy. The whol proccess of changing the fog lights and the head lights was 30 min.
Your fog lights should have been 9006's also.

On my 07, it's an H7 bulb for the fog lights. But, after checking out the factory fog light wiring, it looks like Mercedes just plugged in a 9006 to H7 conversion cable and used an H7 bulb.

I forgot they changed the foglights for 07 models. The 03'-05' and I think the 06' w209 models used the 9006 bulbs.

Kevblah,

Can you take some pics of your car with the 6000K foglight and 6000k
DS1 low beam on for me when ever you have time. I'm still think deciding whether to go with the 6000k DS1 low beam to match my 6000k HID foglight or just change the HID foglight bulbs to 4300k to match the factory HID low beam. I would really appreciated if you can help me out. Thanks.
