Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Coupe
There really are loads and loads of products out there.
Generally, you should use a paste wax for the bodywork.
But I also use it on the wheels and windows.
I use a paste wax by Finish Kare.
The #2685 paste wax.
Th pink stuff.
It really is very good.
It can also be used as a layering wax, so you can build up a nice, deep, glossy shine.
I used to use Meguiars carnuba wax (more of a stodgey lotion in a red bottle).
That stuff was really good.
But you can't beat a paste wax.
Detailing sprays, like the one pictured earlier, are more for "between wash" duties.
But they also contain alot of polymers which is what gives the waxey, slippery feel.
They are good because they are kind on wax. So they won't remove all the layers that you've put on in the past.
I use a detailing spray, also by Finish Kare.
It's very good.
Because I don't drive my car very much, I can pretty much clean the car with the detailing spray without the use of water at all!
You can also get sealants in paste form, and also polishes.
But I don't have much experience with these.
If you haven't waxed your car before, you may want to clay it first.
In fact, definately clay it!
You will not believe how smooth you paint surface will be!
THEN, you'll have the perfect surface to build layers of wax on.
Meguiars do a really good clay kit.
Very easy to use and unbelieveable results.
