Does this system have one of those automatic volume adjustors (based on noise/speed) or what? Mine keep making music louder/quieter fairly often on its own. However I didn't notice it being related to noise, the volume just jumps up and down for no reason (abruptly). I wonder if it's a feature or some loose wire.

yes it does have a "ambient ound sensor" that will increase/decrease the volume.

do you have a augmented audio setup in your car?

Does the Bose have this also? My volume always goes down when I slow down

you guys are lucky. for about 6 months after I had installed my system, I didn't know about this, and due to my subs, it played HAVOC on my Bose Audiopilot system.

From just listening to it at normal volume, to FULL BLAST, then silence, randomly.

Then i found out about the Ambient sound microphone located by the sunroof controlls, and removed...... problem solved.

yes, great idea indeed, my is ok most of the time, Bose crap, sometimes if goes crazy a little but not to the extremes of volume. I will need to remove that mic before I got to replace all the audio with something worthy of being in a Benz.

What is augmented? Additional subs? No, the system is bone stock from what I know.

Anyone has a picture of where exactly that mic is?

Augmented= bigger, better, larger.

i.e breast augmentation.

and yes, I did mean additional subs.
