RESET service indicator

Hi there

I have a very low mileage 08 CLK350 cab.

Just yesterday, it started complaining it needs servicing in 30 days but my mileage does not call for a service. I hate to reset and mess up the service indicator.

All I need is to adjust the setting so that it doesn't want to be service every 365 days

Any suggestions here?

Many thanks in advance

If the car says it needs service it probably does

What is wrong with servicing the car at least once a year? You pay to own and play.

The service indicator is your cars friend. Don't deny it the service. Let the professionals reset it. BTW, what is the mileage on your 08?

Since my cab is my spare car, she only has 1050 miles

If it were a few thousand miles, I will bring her in for minor service and reset of the service indicator but for 1050 miles, I am having a real problem trying to justify

I do recall that some of the items on the services indicator are time sensitive and regardless of miles, it will trigger a request for service. So, at this time, I'm hoping to just clear the timer. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

My idea is to drive the car. You have got a CLK350 not a CLK63 B.S. It's not like it's going to collectable.

If you want to lean how to reset your service notification, why not use the search button on the forum. I know the info is already on here.

Thanks. You nailed it. I definitely did a search before posting my question

While going through the previous thread on "reset service light", I didn't see any option on setting the date out. I know when I had my SLK, whenever the dealer resets, they put a date for the next service. That capability is on my E500 too. But I can't seem to find that for the CLK.

Help????
