I try to install the cartronics Bluetooth and ipod in the CL:K 550 2008.
They didi not send any instructions.
I took it to a mercedes mechanics and he could not installed.
I call Cartronics (BRYAN ADAMS) and he told me that the mechanic was wrong.
But did not issue any help.
Can you tell me how you installed?
Or any tricks

Hello,
I’m not sure if the installation will be the same as mine but basically you need to get to the back of your radio to the fiber optic connector.
I found these instructions online
http://www.cartronics.com/downloads/...all2008CLK.pdf
First I removed the shifter panel by using a flat head screwdriver I placed a cloth around the blade of the screwdriver and pried up on the shifter panel. I placed the car in neutral to give more room to work. I then pulled out the ashtray by pushing in on the taps and lifting out. I could then remove the climate control section by removing the 2 torx screws and pulled that out. I opened the cup holder and pryed out the top switch panel section (the part with hazard lights button) . Pry from the top right corner. Once the switch panel and climate control panel is removed you have access to the four torx screws which hold the radio in. remove the screws pull out the radio and you have access to the fiber optics to tap into. The directions in the link show you how to do this. You also have to tap into the power. I recommend removing the fuse for the radio so you don’t accidentally blow the fuse when tapping into the constant power. If you have any specific question let me know

I just purchased their satellite receiver and am getting it installed tomorrow (3/27) at Hurley's Auto in McLean, VA. I will let everyone know how it turns out.

I think cartronics.com is out of business, but you can get the same exact Bluetooth product from www.mObridge.us . I think they were the US distributor which is now a company in Irvine, California.
I installed the same exact iTronics Bluetooth in my Mercedes CLK350 Convertible about two years ago. It was easy and about half the price of the Mercedes branded product. The one negative or con is it has its own microphone and doesn't use the integrated one in my convertible. Phone book works just like the factor one, so overall I am very satisfied with the product.
It works perfectly with two iPhone 5's, an iPhone 4s, and even an iPhone 3. I watched the youtube video and it was an easy install. You do need to add it to the fiber loop to the radio, which they supply all the cables; so you do need a couple of tools and it takes less than an hour to install. All the documents, videos, and latest firmware is on the mObridge website. Support looks better on their website too.
