Where to buy w209 struts plus steering knuckle.

Guys,

My right strut and steering knuckle is bent, the shop told me $1,200 to replace them with brand new ones, all labor included. Its quiet a nice chump of change so im thinking of getting a pair of used ones or maybe find a better price online.

Any suggestions/advice

parts.com for strut/steering knuckle. If you happen in need of springs I do have it.

I just checked it out, do the left and right struts have to be different? I went in there and it only gave me one type of a strut which was for 152.95 so should i just get two of the same units? I priced everything out, it came out to be 526.8 plus i found a guy who will install it for $200 so it cames out to be $726.8 instead of 1,200. *******s tried to rip me a $700 labor

Yeah, quiet sad because i use to take my bimmer to the shop and i take my clk there also for oil changes. I pay the $95 to change the oil and filters, all oem from Mercedes. I guess people just get greedy, the funny thing is i know im throwing out $20 out the window doing oil changes there but i thought id respect their labor but after this, they will be out of a regular client

That's what we were saying in the first thread you started. What they are charging for labor was crazy. Glad to see you are not going to get ripped off anymore. Good Luck

Yeah, it just seemed too much. Most of their prices i found reasonable but when they told me $1,200 for two struts and a knucke, i got a little suspicious.

Btw, are the front struts both the same? Because its not giving me an option in parts.com to pick left or right.

I have a used set of struts and shocks from a 2006 Clk 500 Cabrio. It got about 10K miles on it when I changed my suspension to Eibach spring and Bilstein struts/shocks. If you're interested, drop me an e-mail.
