Secondary cats/resonater deleted ...WOW!

Whatsup guys some of you know i bought a 2003 clk500 from one of the forum members a little while ago and the car had no mufflers just pipes and quad tips, so yesterday i took it to a shop after alot of reading about small power gains and nice beefy sound i took of the resonater and the secondary cats.
I must say that my car sounds like a c/e 63 amg , if not louder its nice and good on idle and cruising but once i put my foot on gas WOw i get a big kool aid smile it scares everybody away and puts car alarms off i never thought that 300 dollars would make my car sound like this had i known i wouldve done this the first day you guys gotta do thiis!

Ill try to get a video clip i dont have a camera ill try to borrow one. Believe me no need for buying any crazy expensive exhaust setup or mufflers simply chop of and reweld straight pipes, in the few hours of driving i had vettes, mustangs, 63s staring and wondering what does that guy have under the hood of that 500, the sound of it under half/full throttle is similar to that of a lightning i heard also that it takes about 1-2 weeks for the soudnt to settle in and the ecu to adapt, but i gotta admit the car feels a little quicker already and i cant imagine how much louder it can get when it settles in never thought in my life our cars can sound like this, plus you get to sell your old cats to a scrap yard and recover some money. Well worth every penny!

Sweet! +1 on the video clip. Is there any droning during highway use?

hehe none taken Andy, its actually not that bad it doesnt really drone when your cruising just pressing the gas lightly its perfect or when ur driving around town in the 1-2k rpm its just fine its only really loud when you step on it or go past 2k rpm.

It gets annoying on a hangover, remember that you can get ticketed for a loud exhaust but cops dont expect a loud benz. Its annoying at higher speed's because the motor is revving higher and its just loud. Overall I love my straight pipes!!

Yes i love them to buy cops in NY dont really care to much for it as they might in other states like CA, but like you said overal i love my straight pipes because nobody expects that from a benz makes them think the car has a supercharger or something else crazy.

Ok mr jones nobodys talking about a 55k here nor beating a 55k so i dont know why that comment was necessary and its not like i debadged my car or put amg on it, and as a matter of fact i had 55k pull up to me on a light giving me props on how my 500 is louder then there 55k. Go bother somebody else not me im not interested in your stupid comments i know what the outcome would be if a 55k pulls up to me.

ill tell you man brooklyn is full of clks, i mean really full of them from 320,350,500,550s. Im planning on doing my headers soon, and ecu after that so i kept my resonator didnt want to throw it out because if its so loud now i can imagine with headers how much louder it will be i heard that it makes a huge difference in sound with headers plus no cats/mufflers. For those of you who want to do that i suggest to keep it just in case
