His were a direct fit because he already got the steering wheel paddle shifter. He just swapped out the old for the AMG taller paddle. Your car should already came stock with paddle shifter, no? And I don't mean the little button on the back of the steering wheel like in the old AMG models. Mine didn't because I have the wood packages interior included wood steering wheel.

I had the little buttons in my CLK 55 AMG 209. Its also the "old" model.
Then i bought a CLK 63 AMG Black Series steering wheel and created a new managment for the paddles because they are not compatible with the old model
It wasn't so easy but the feeling is much better to shift with the paddles.
The Airbag is the same by the way

I already got the 'black paddles' on my CLK, does it mean it is a direct fit? or do they have different sizes?
The stock black plastic paddles don't feel like paddles, they click like a mouse button. Maybe I have to do this mod.

Ya mine came with the paddle shifters (the same exact one he had in the first picture). I just wanna replace mine with the taller AMG ones, becuase they look better. You can barely see my paddle shifters at the momment

It's not just a cosmetic thing either, If this paddle is like the C63 one, it is metal and feel a lot more solid. The one in the clk feels flimsy. Haha, I am talking myself into doing this mod.
