Question Need Tires

Car Only has 5700 Miles and my rear tire needs to be replaced from side puncture damage and a front tire has a bubble.

Thinking on replacing the OEM continentals.
Want to stay with 18s, how wide can I / should I go?

What brand/model do you guys recommend.

Thanx

Yeah Brooklyn's roads are no joke.
Going to Continental Authorized center to see if I can get a replacement for the bubbled tire.

I dunno, I had the General Exclaims first they were cheap and lasted about as long as the Yoko S Drives I had next. Today I got some Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports. We will see how they hold up.

Tried many tires on different cars, but from my experience best (also currently on my clk) - Michelin Pilot Sport. Thats my advice

I had Falken FK 452's first with 19's and they were ok. I only drove them for 6k miles before i sold them but they were kind of loud. Switched to Yokohama ADVAN S.4. on 17's for the winter and they have been real quiet and comfortable. In a couple weeks I will be trying Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 on 19's. Haven't heard anything negative about them yet.

Now I know the "REAL" reason why you need new tires... hahaha....

havent changed my MB tires yet.. but I do prefer michellin tires... I had michellin in car(totaled civic), truck, and bike.... and will never try other tires... my MB got yokohama tires... and they are a bit noisy for me

I use Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's. They have good ratings and are really good in cornering. I have info for 17'' http://www.michelinman.com/tire-sele...Y/tire-details They tend to be more expensive and wear down faster than other tires, but I still like them for the performance.

I have had several tires on my car. My quick take

Michelin Pilot Sport- No complaints besides cost.
Goodyear GS D3- awesome performance in the rain. Wore fairly quickly
General Exclaim- Cheap. Road noise grows as miles gain.
Goodyear Eagle AS- Super road noise after you put about 7k miles on them.

I am getting a new set of Hankook v12 k110 next week. Super cheap and reviews are great.
