CLK500 Shift Knob question.

Hey everyone, I am looking to install a new shift knob on my CLK500 and haven't been able to find too many online. I am looking at several photos of some from the C class W203 and it looks identical to our W209. Does anyone know if they are the same fit or does anyone have photos of the bottom of the w209 shift knob? Thanks for the help

Thank you, this helps. You wouldn't happen to have any pics of the bottom of the actual knob itself that you removed or put on?

I dont know what you mean by "actual knob" ? That is the actual one. The very bottom part is where you turned then pull STRAIGHT up after you pulling the boot out . The knob that you see in the pics is the orginal one . I took it out because I replaced with the other one.

they are directly interchangable, i upgraded to a newer knob from a newer SLK, bought online from eBay

all you have to do is dismantle the new part and take offthe leather that it comes with. you need to use you original leather/gait for it to work

i posted it on MB club UK: http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/inter...09-clk500.html

will take some pics and try to upload tonight

hey guys, how do you remove the knob? I twisted the plastic collar 1/4turn counterclockwise but the knob seems really stuck on

I have the keyless go button on the knob too, does that make a difference?

it doesnt say how to pull it off? is it the same as non-keyless go? just twist the collar, and pull up?
