Aftermarket Bluetooth
I'm looking for a aftermarket bluetooth (my car is not wired with the OEM bluetooth). Does anyone know a company that has a suttle bluetooth i can use with the factory speakers and possibly the factory speaker? I have 07 550 with Nav.
I was searching the forums and found this
http://www.parrotkits.com/steeringwheel.html
from the looks of it, it's simply plug and play? it'll attach to the oem steering wheel. i was wondering if any MBW members have this in their cars, and if so, does the sound come from the speakers or do i have to tune the radio?
Thanks
Thanks

this thread would be a great place to list the pros and cons of the various BT solutions, as well as their prices. dnguy344 is referring to the NAV-TV Tooki, which retails for $750 and appears to utilize the dash display, steering wheel buttons and COMAND HU, but I think it has its own mic. I'm still trying to figure out the others; if you have one, please post about it.

How much did it run you with installation?

Indeed. Anyone use the parrotkit link? It seems it would work perfectly with OEM non-harmon kardon and it's priced at only $200ish. I'd say with install this should be $250-$300.

I'm hoping this thread can become a resource that will list the various aftermarket Bluetooth solutions that claim to be "Mercedes-compatible", and indicate whether they use the radio and steering wheel buttons, car speakers, etc. The Nav-TV Tooki, evidently does, as previously posted, and retails for about $750. I just was told by someone at installer.com that the Parrot systems DO NOT integrate with the radio or steering wheel buttons (that makes it a deal-breaker, for me, at least).
I looked up the above-mentioned Itronic HERE and it seems to fully integrate, at a retail price of $899.
Mobridge, HERE, also claims to fully integrate with 2006+ Audio 20/50 and Comand for $799.
If anyone has firsthand experience with these or other "fully integrated" aftermarket Bluetooth solutions, please enlighten us!

i used a parrot kit with my last car, a V35 skyline (aka inifniti G35 over in the USA)
it was plug-and-play with the right loom and the right installer
it used to mute my speakers when a call came through and has a little colour screen that showed who was calling.
only issue is that you need to mount it somewhere which makes it a taget for thieves, and also makes it look aftermarket.

Great info. For the Parrot kid, are you talking about a specific kit or all of them? I was hoping this would work -> http://www.parrotkits.com/steeringwheel.html

I'm told that NO PARROT works with the MB controls, which is a deal breaker for me. dnguy's Tooki does, and he told me he got his on eBay for about $400. I really hope more members THAT HAVE aftermkt (or OEM) Bluetooth installs will chime in. I have a $50 Moto on my visor; unless I can get the car's controls to work, I stick with that.

i got the Tooki and ipod intergration for $500 (used) and yes it does use the steering wheel control just like factory bluetooth except it has its own mic which i mounted by the rear view mirror...it works great, i like it...installation is simple if you know how to uninstall your MOST-bus nag or cd player...if any1 needs help with installation, hit me up, i'll be more than happy to help you!
