Roll down all windows and sunroof

Does anybody know or is it possible to roll down all windows and sunroof with a touch of a button inside the car?

I know that you can roll it all down using the remote... but the funny thing is that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't so I look like crazy trying to press/hold the unluck button and POINTING it to the IR on driver side... LOL

I also know that the air circulator can make all windows close wheny you press and hold it... but I need a button to open all windows... anybody knows?

there is no such button available. the front windows and sunroof are one-touch, so u only have to hold down the rear windows.

damn! lol... is there a way to enhance the remote then? I kept imagining how do I look like when I try to roll all windows down using my remote! maybe a person trying to change a TV CHANNEL using a dead battery remote! LOL

It's a little buggy...I was playing around with the key remote the other day and this is the conclusion I came to.

To bring windows down I have to hold the button at the same time I unlock the car. In other words it didn't work for me when I unlocked the car then tried to roll down the windows. The same thing for putting them up. If I hold the button while the car is locking they will go up. Locking it first then holding the button it didn't work.

That is what I am saying here... lol... the remote makes you look stupid! I just tried to do it with my friend watching me and guess what? IT DIDNT WORK! LOL...

I think the main issue is the IR in the driver side handle...

That second link doesn't work but the first one is a great reminder (I really should've posted there to bump it). To summarize, press and hold the Recirculation button (in off position) and all the windows and sunroof go down. Press and hold the Recirculation button (in on position) and all the windows and sunroof go up. I never bothered in any of my other Benzes cuz they had all express windows. Since the CLK doesn't have express rears, this is a cool feature.

The remote, which I seldom use cuz it's so fussy, is intended for cooling a hot car before you get in, or buttoning one up when it starts to rain. Really, a different application altogether. I think the fussiness is related to the key being both IR and RF: that feature only works IR (like the trunk), so it requires a pretty close line of sight.

2005 CLK 500 Cabriolet

I installed this in my car to do exactly what you wanted. Now when I touch the top up/down button once, my windows all roll down and the top goes down with the added benefit that I can do it in drive while moving down the road. It will also close everything if you start the process with the car on and then shut it off and get out of the car. The remote works a bit different than normal since it uses the radio control part of the remote to control the operation. Hitting the unlock button three times one second apart will also open the windows and top from door unlock distance rather than standing next to the car holding down the stupid button. It's my favorite mod.

Steve

Oops. I thought you were asking about a cabriolet. I don't know if the intellitop will work for the sunroof but you can write the company and ask about it, I guess.

I’ve a 2006 w209 and the only way it works is with the remote control touching in the IR square.
If I maintain the button pressed down and move away a little bit it stops working.
The batteries are new one (CR2025).
I don’t know if it work this away for security reasons, but I still prefer VW Golf method: you close/open your windows even from China!!

Audi does it best IMO. Just hold the button no matter if its locked or unlocked and it works perfect even from a distance.

I believe the reason why sometimes the windows go down and sometimes they dont depends on the weather. The day they didnt go down was probably because it was a cooler day

you might have an issue. My recirc button works fine. There's another button that will open/close all windows but I forget which one it is. It's in the manual.

Also I've found that the remote doesn't work if you are either too close or too far from the IR sensor.

When some windows close and others don't or if nothing happens when recirculation button is maintained, it's because you need reset windows.

Close it all manually and hold close position until you heard a relay sound.

youre supposed to do it when the windows are down not up. Have the windows down then press and hold the button to roll up the windows and recirculate the air. Then if you wish, you can press and hold the button again to have the windows return to exactly where you left them
