Mileage survey

How many miles do you guys have now and what year is your car. What kind of problems have you guys experienced with your car?

I have 45k on my 06 clk350. So far MAF sensor and power steering failures.

Just interested about the future of my car.

68k on my 04 CLK 320...Only real big problem I had was at 60k miles that my alarm would randomly go off. Dealer replaced with brand new system.

05 CLK500 with 72k, one side of my valve cover is leaking. The dealer sealed it instead of replacing it. The dealer also replaced the turn signal and third brake light right before the warranty ended. Besides that and regular maintenance, nothing else. I got the car 2 years ago with 29k. I drive a lot and value went down like sh!!!!!!t

04 CLK500
04 CLK500 purchased 09/2007 at 43K, now at 72K.

No problem to speak of except when I topped off with a generic coolant causing leak to transmission oil. Luckily got the trans rebuild under warranty, would have cost almost $8K.

Also the third brake light cover broke, DIY fixed, now looks better than stock.

What do you mean by "looks better than stock"? You didn't replace it with an OEM light?

I kept the original LED lights and the housing, just broke off all the plastic pieces. The LED is lit red already; so, clear plastic ruler from Walmart $3, sand and polished off the numbers, 1 hr of drimmel tool and sand paper shaping it to fit, 3M double tape $6, make sure it's air tight so no condensation. Voila, one of the kind. Priceless!!!

I'll try to post picture later, it sparkles.

just to re-seal the valve seal! lol... when I called then they quoted me for $580 to replace the engine mounts... coz that's what I know or the advices I got from here... but they said engine mounts was okay... so they are going "DEEPER" lol... and said it was the valve seals...

valve seal costs $80 and labor is $400 lol
they did not even replace the valve seal! they just re-seal it... tsk tsk...

If they didn't replace the valve seal then why did they charge you $80 for it? Shouldn't it all be labor?

that's what im sayin... I checked on ebay the valve seal.. it was around $86 so if I knew that it was the problem I could have done it myself! lol...

and yes... the guy said he only re-sealed it... but before that.. he said... he did a lot of diagnoses like computer and blah blah... that is why it is $480

lol...

Got my 2003 CLK320 a year ago with 30k miles. Now I have huge 33k miles on it

No major issues other then the radiator leak causing the trans failure resulting in replacement of the radiator, transmission and torque converter. Then one of the turn signal modules died on me so had both replaced. Also had a rain water leak to the trunk threw the trunk gasket that I patched up and one of the sockets in one of the rear lights had connection issues so I cleaned that. I'm also hearing a faint whining noise from the left side of the engine compartment so it sounds like one of the pulleys maybe going bad. Its on and off so hard to debug. Also the rain sensor is massed up having hard time deciding the speed at times

Other then these 'little' issues its running great
