W203 headlights on W209
Real quick.
Car got backed into last week and I am planning on getting it into the bodyshop next week for repairs. I need a new headlight on driver side, and I kind of want to replace both the driver and passenger to keep them matching up pretty shiny and not one slightly faded at all. There's tons of aftermarket W203 headlight models in the market and they're pretty similar to the design as our W209 cars, does anyone know if they will fit?
I mean bracketing, fitment, etc. I think I read once that the C55 headlights will fit but wouldnt any aftermarket W203 headlight fit any W203?
I've searched, so don't ask me to again.
By the way, estimates are $6,300+ for a headlight, fender, hood, bumper, paint, and blending on the door as well. Good thing it wasn't my fault!

That's what I've heard... So do all the aftermarket headlights that are marketed for the W203's fit C55s? Thats the basic question, and then if the C55 brackets and fitment match W209.

its only the c55. if you look at the other 203s in comparison, i feel like the lines are softer and less of the 2 oval design.
thats what i see at least. but yeah back to the subject. anything off a c55 in terms of front end will work with 209 from the research i gathered.

thats just lovely. kind of wish my top headlight bracket would have stayed in tact, i would have just modified the housings with components from the aftermarket ones and have finished with black housing bi-xenons.
well, so much for options haha.

edit: negative, my friend. all the searches on C55 projectors are "C55 style" which are made for the C32 and lower.
is it just me, or are the C headlights more like rounder lol. thats how i tell the difference at least. i feel like the CLKs are less conjoined and more ovalish. idk.

yeah basically OEM only. the ones your talking about are C55 style. but they are depo for the C class. i talked to advans sometime before as well as the "retrofit source". the latter specializes in retrofitting all kinds of headlights with projectors. haha benz ****ed the CLK halogens over as they are not retrofitable. but the Cs are. thats one they have over us.
i rather kill your buzz then spending 300 then wasting time to take off your front bumper and headlight assembly to realize **** dont fit.
but iono i was contemplating the other day about xenons, haha for the money iono. i could either go with like pss9s or xenons. i think even a USED amg kit is cheaper. lol
keep hunting for those projectors bud. seen a couple of single projectors around ebay. gotta slowly acquire the part but its still gonna run you like 800.

but there are a few floating on ebay from time to time. find one with broken tabs and get a fix for that. advans can hook it up.

sorry guys, didnt have time to read all the posts, but for the record, the ONLY 203 headlamp housing that will fit a 209 is the one off a C55, NO OTHER 203. thats because they are actually 209 housings lol, the whole front end of a C55 = W209.
And the sh*tty part about that is i dont think anybody makes aftermarket 209 headlights, your best bet would be to search HIGH AND LOW for a used set, or just settle for the standard headlights

Sorry to hear that. Those unfortunately will not fit your W209. There is now cheap alternative for W209 heaadlights. It's either OEM xenons or OEM halogens. The auction says C55 style, and says it fits other W203's. The W209/C55 lights ONLY fit the W209/C55's.

you can tell by the contour lines of the set. the w209 ones have more definition.
you can go for oem halogens and try for a retrofit. one of our members used a lexus projector.

This listing claims fitment with the 2005 C55 AMG but the shape is questionable...?
