Birthday Blues

Hello gentlemen,
I received some very stellar rims for my birthday: http://www.usarim.com/mercedes-wheel...ms-p-1126.html

The rims are 8.5" in front and 9.5" in the rear. EuroTechWheels also included two spacers and the bolts. To begin, the front rims have the same lip as the rear rims... not a big issue, right? They were purchased for a good price.

Unfortunately, my local tire shop was unable to put the rims on the car. The rear rims were far too wide and required spacers. The front rims (8.5") sat too close to the shock, even with the 1cm spacers installed!

Has anyone encountered this problem before? I contacted EuroTechWheels, but they are in the process of contacted the tire shop for additional information. What a bummer.

The front wheels could be used on the back, with the included spacers. Should I return the whole set? Use the fronts on the rear and find thinner fronts?... preferably ones without a lip? <sigh>

nice rims. and happy belated?

the rims depends on the offset of your car. from what it sounds like, the offsets are in the upper 40s. if you can tell us what the offsets are, we might be able to help figure out a solution

Thank you BHENG. The rims look so nice... in the box. I do not know the offset of the car. However, from searching on this forum it does appear that it is a spacer issue. I will attempt to contact EuroTechWheels and see if I can return the rear wheels and just order fronts from somewhere else.

i wasnt talking about the car. i was talking about the wheel. mmm well you see each aftermarket wheel was built to a specific offset to accommodate for the car. mine are 35 all around. the lower the number, the further the wheel is protruded outward from the center.

so the solution lies for you to find the offset of the wheel and we can tell you if it would work or not. or just save all that trouble and exchange for a new set?

gl and keep us updated

Happy belated! The rims I have now are 19x8.5/19x9.5 bought from Eurotech with and et35 and they fit with no spacers. No rubbing either. The offset should be on the label on the box.

Happy belated~~
i had same problem but mine is 10 x 19 et28(?) little less then 31.
i had to put 5mm spacer and it worked. also i rolled rear fender. 10mm spacer had too much problems with touching outside of tires.

Thanks guys! According to Eurotechwheels, the rims are 30. I really like your wheels Dynomite! So to summarize: 8.5" front, 9.5" rear, 235/35 and 265/30 with a 30 offset rub. Weird huh? Only the fronts will fit on the back, but with the included spacers. Thoughts?

I think I've run into the same issue. But I am definitely not rolling anything. I just want to show off my wheels!

Just bought these: http://www.mercedesbenzwheel.com/c-c...ype-mbz-6.html

He swore they would NOT need spacers. Thoughts?

You don't have to roll.
after i changed to 5mm, fender touching problems was gone, however to make safer i did it.
