interesting idea for exhaust.

i dunno if this was done before. but i found this vid on youtube. apparently the guy runs a magnaflow res and no muffler.

does that mean low end torque loss?

i am trying to figure out also. but if you have your res sitting around somewhere convenient, do you think you can measure its length out for me? i am trying to find a replacement magnaflow resonator size.

damn i am hoping your wrong. most of the magnaflow resonator/mufflers (round type) are 20" in length. rofl. there is a 12 in long version. haha might have to get that.

will i lose power?

i was referring to him (05blackclk320) as he measured his resonator. as most i saw on the magnaflow website, were 20 in long. there were a couple that are 12" in length.

but was asking you (Andy) if i would lose any power.

haha sorry for any confusion.

or if anyone else would chime in.

I dont have the answer for this but I dont think so. I remembered read it somewhere someone said we actually gain in the high speed.

but i also heard that we would lose low end torque at the same time.

rofl tru. will do.

edit: found a pic of superbees exhaust. i hope he doesnt mine me taking it for the time being. looks to be just resonated straight pipes.

edit: this is the goal that i will probably never achieve.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpGB2...eature=related

but what i was thinking was removing the resonator and replacing with a magnaflow resonator, leaving all the pipes the same for now. not a money issue but i cannot find a youtube video that has just a res replace. i feel that the res delete would seem a bit too raspy esp if i replace the muff. if its not loud enough, i will try the sound without a muff and just the res. lol and if i want it more muffled, add a muffler or maybe another magnaflow resonator cuz they are fairly small, maybe fit it to where the stock muffler is now and run a y pipe to make it go quad =D.
