Today is the day( Removing cats)

So i will be removing my 2condary cats today... should i leave the resonator or should i delete it also... i was thinking resonator will keep my back pressure so i don't lose my low end torque..

Now remember, do your own research. I'm sure that for that article, there's another on on the InterwebZ that says backpressure is God's gift to mankind. But I would not have posted that article had I not had some experience with backpressure on N/A engines.

Again, I suggest you do your own research to make sure.

Most exhaust tubing is mild steel. Not stainless.

As M-benz said, just paint the exterior of the exhaust pipe you already have (preferably AFTER it's welded into place, but that can be a pain), and go motoring.

If you don't paint it, chances of it lasting longer than the car before it rusts are good, so either way you'll be fine.

I actually did that right after they welded...just brought my own paint. And make sure u have like a newspaper to cover all the area around the pipes b4 you paint it. All right I think you got all the info now and now go do it .

Good luck with welding the new aluminum exhaust pipe to the factory steel parts of the exhaust.

Might want to consider clamps.
