Any experience with R1concepts Rotors?I
just ordered 4 cross drilled rotors and semi quiet pads for my car.
308.00 seemed like a great deal. I read some reviews online lots of customers are happy.
Anyone is running on them?
Thanks

correct r1concepts.com is where i bought them. Their website is very neat and easy to get around.
Dyno i read you run akebono pads? Now this is not what i bought from their website im assuming. What makes akebono so good? Low dust?

"Akebono is the first brake pad manufacturer to produce a true ceramic pad for European vehicles that delivers the same European pedal feel and stopping power as the Original Equipment (OE) pads. Akebono's exclusive clean wheel formulations help to eliminate the heavy brake dust issues normally associated with the OE pads, too, and a definitive control of noise, vibration and harshness is felt.
One hundred percent asbestos-free, the pads' Advanced Ceramic Technology helps to extend rotor life resulting in fewer rotor replacements (and additional dollars saved).
Akebono Euro pads are approved for use by Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen"

R1 Pads just came in today.
I painted the hub part glossy black to protect it.
Took me about 2 hours to do it all. I even had a lift but first time doing this so i thought twice and did once lol
Akebono pads are freaking awesome very quiet. First there was some noise but after 60 miles of breaking the brakes in its perfect now. Very responsive and silent just perfect
Here is a pic of the rotors i got. I was being cheap and didnt get the premium but this ones still look great.
So if you have second thoughts about this combo just go for it guys

I sure would like to see a close up. Looking through the wheel would be fine. Full effect. I run the Akebono pads and love them. 13k with no problems, and no dust. Stock rotors. Mike

Sooo...... Instead of buying the premo's, people are getting the 128.00 set and just painting the hubs? Surely there is a difference between the sets besides 60.00
