Speed Limiter

2003 Mercedes CLK500
Speed Limiter
Ok, so last night I blew the doors off some Volvo type R thing that kept trying to get me to race it. Anyways, when I got to 137mph its like I hit cruise control, wouldn't accelerate anymore. I assume this is a speed limiter setup. He caught up and passed me. Without a new ECU, is it possible to disable the limiter? I have access to full Mercedes OE equipment and if I can access it through the computer that would be great. I have a 03 CLK500, never took it up that fast before but I tell you...that car handles better at high speed than my 01 Audi S4 ever did! And has plenty more power up top.
(BTW, we were on a several mile long stretch of blacktop at about 11pm with no other cars - for the haters)
