Please post your reviews for the ECU tune from SpeedTuning.
Please include year, model, what other mods may effect the tune.


My car:
2004 CLK500, no other mods except K&N filters. 93 octane.

Installed tuned ECU on Saturday and drove around town, did not get on freeway.
Noticed a little, very little, quicker respond on the throttle. No noticeable power gain. Did not try to break the speed limiter, will try next weekend.

PROBLEM:

The windows and sunroof switches are not functioning as they were.
No auto roll up on driver side window, need to hold the switch.
Sunroof does not slide open when holding the button. When I push to open, it moves about 1/2 inch and stops; I have to let go and push again then it will only moves 1/2 inch at a time and so on.

Anyone else have this problem?
Is there a reset sequence that I am not aware of?

Will call Oliver on Tues to figure this out.

This has always happened to me (even on a non-tuned CLK) whenever I disconnect the battery, but the auto roll up has always come back on its own after a day or so.

I have the same sunroof problem, but it's been there since before the tune.

The ECU tune starts working after about 250 miles.

yea after i bought my car the my windows were fine but my sunroof would do the same even when I would hold the button it would stop every inch... after about a week I got in the car and it worked perfect, ever since then its been fine. (no tune, stock car)

250 miles is at least a month worth of driving for me, this is my weekend toy.
Will wait and see.

An ECU flash changes the timing, air, and fuel parameters of the engine. It's not like a tank of race gas where you need to burn off the fuel already in the lines from the tank. It either works or it does not.

Furthermore, it should feel like it works even when nothing was changed because the ECU has to re-learn shift patterns. Me-thinks the "250-500" break in miles is crap to make you forget about it and hope for the best. Dyno's maybe can prove otherwise

Your problem is not NOT because of the ECU upgrades !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! READ YOUR USER'S MANUAL and you'll know why.

All switches are working normally now after a couple days. Did not do anything, just fixed themselves.

To the op,

I dont think the ECU tune caused all that....Used to have ECU tune by speedtuning on my 320 ( long gone) didnt have any problem back then...I meant zeo.

Just for those that didn't know.........every time you disconnect the battery, on some models, some of the feature will reset back into the default modes like radio code, bass..etc, one-touch features power windows, sunroof...etc. need to reprogram again. Or if you don't mind driving around like that in a couple days, it will reset itself. Btw, it look like the ECU mods is a BUSTED !!!!!

I didn't mind explained these issue BUt in the past, I hated poeple still asking "how to do" even after you I told them to read the user's manual.
