My resistor did not come with holes I can screw stuff in, I used a metallic zip tie to hold the two together.

hey how many resistors do i need? cause i installed a resistor to the stop lamp, but the bottom leds are still blinking. do i need a resistor for the bottom leds as well? the error message says left lamp, surround or something like that

That's weird, those bottom lights turn on with no problems for me.

Each stop lamp (driver side; passenger side) needs two resistors. The one supplied by the Manufacturer (looks like a black box with a hole for a screw and a wiring harness sticking out; the wiring harness goes between the harness from the car chassis and the bulb socket) and the one you have to by. The manufacturer supplied resistor is supposed to take care of the bottom LEDs, so it sounds to me it's either:
1. It was never installed
2. The resistor harness connection is not 100% (just reconnect securely)
3. The resistor is faulty

If the shop you take it to needs info from you to get this mod to work, you might want to try another shop.

ok my friend and i tried to figure out why the left stop lamp was still blinking and still, it blinks. we tried swapping resistors again, checking the ohm and voltage of every wire and still, it won't work when the daytime led is working, the top blinks. and when the stop lamp works, the bottom starts blinking. what else can it be?

today I installed the led tail lights with no problem. there is no need for more resistors on my car .(2007)
if there is somethinh wrong with your any other light issue the led tail lights are blinking. my left front fog light was dead and so left led tail light was blinking. when we changed the dead fog light every thing has fixed.
