Exclamation Need Help -Audio 20 replacement with C class Audio 20 from eBay

Hi All,

Im looking to buy a replacement Audio 20 from ebay since mine has screen damage. I found one on eBay for the same year but for a C class. Can anyone tell me if this would fit a CLK? I don't know the difference between the C and CLK unit, they look the same. Is there any mounting points or cosmetic difference that would not allow it to work?

The part number I'm looking at is; A203 824 39 42.

Thanks for any help....

Neither the EPC or parts.com lists anything for that part #.

Oops, sorry, my bad. It's A 203 827 39 42. Since the part number starts with 203, I can only assume it's specific to W203 models? Hope someone here can tell me it works. Thx

The EPC shows that part # only being for the W203's.

Yea I figured that by the part number itself. But I still wonder if there is a difference between that unit and the one in the CLK. Cosmetically, they look the same size and configuration but still would like to confirm if anyone has tried it. I can't find one for CLK cheap that is in good conditions, that is why I'm trying to buy this one if it works...

How cheap are you getting it? I assume if they were interchangeable then MB would of used them in both cars to save themselves $$. Them having different part #'s make me think they have some differences.

Some lady on eBay is selling it cheap $50, she has no knowledge of the value. She claims it's in new conditions. She has 100% feedback.

I tend to agree with you, there must be some difference but I know when I was in the BMW world, parts for 3 and M series were interchangeable across coupe/sedan although they had different part numbers.

lol, I know they look very similar. For that price it might be worth it to take the chance. I figure you could always re sell it for more..

You read my mind, I just hate to take my car apart for the 1st time and then not be able to use it. I could always sell it and make some cash too.

Considering that a C class 2 din dash kit won't fit a CLK without being modified/shaved down, I doubt that the audio will fit. I have a '05 C and an '05 CLK, I would have thought that they (audio) was interchangeable but apparently they aren't.

Like Dyno says though, snag it for fifty, try it & flip it for a profit.
