Eibach Springs

I'm looking into getting eibach springs with a #1 spring pad instead of H&R's as I don't like the saggy look in the rear. Thing is though I've only been able to find a few CLK's with eibachs. Can people with eibach springs post photos of their car so I can see the drop? Seen a couple on the site already, but a few more would be awesome!

Thanks

From what I've seen, the H&R's have a more balanced front/rear look and a firmer ride, that's why I ordered them.

Andy...it's hard to go through your 5000+ posts...haha...it's funny cause I've been looking for your 320 dropped on eibachs, but I can't find any photos of it...saw one car with eibachs dyno showed me of the guy with cls wheels...

https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...ne-i-love.html

Kevwood...how does H&R have a more even drop if eibachs drop 1.2" all around while H&R's drop either 1.3"/ 1.1" or 1.4"/1.3"?

Which then makes me think do more people have the H&R's with the 1.4"/ 1.3" drop? Cause then I could understand why it looks saggy in the rear...

I saw this thread though...

https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...r-springs.html

and this one...

https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...n-upgrade.html

I'm sure I'll be ok with eibachs in the rear with the 1.2" because i can bring it down 8mm from spring pad #3 to #1, but the front is what worries me. The 1.4" drop in the front looks good from H&R, but that back is ugly...haha...

Can't I just have eibachs in the back and H&R's in the front?...haha!...

Coilover searching it is...

Appreciate any help and photos...

I could, but what dyno and I were figuring is if I get the H&R's with the 1.3" drop for the rear I could only bring it up one pad from my #3 spring pad so from 13 mm to 17 mm...I don't see 4 mm doing anything...

If I go eibachs I can at least go from #3 pad's 13 mm to #1's 5 mm and drop it 8mm leaving a near perfect elimination of the rear wheel gap...

The front is worrying me more than anything now cause I don't know how the 1.2" drop will look up front...

What you think?...

I don't like the saggy look too and it look even worse when you have 2 people in the back. I don't like H&R for the same reason. I have Eibach sprins with #1 pad in the rear and Biltsein struts/shocks. Go to my "pic galleries" for pics.

IMO the best stance you can get from springs

Klinh that is the exact clarification I was looking for! The eibach springs look great with the #1 spring pads set up. The front looks awesome too. You running 19X8.5 f on 235/35/19 f and 19X9.5 r on 265/30/19 r? Also what offset you running with spacers, if any?

Nice pics in the gallery, but I couldn't help but notice that you have an em2 also!?

Appreciate the much needed clarification and seeing someone else with an em2 and a w209...

Euro...you running any springs or anything?...

"19" C63 style wheels (19x8.5 et35 and 19x9.5 et35)"

Klinh nevermind I found your wheels and offset set up, but what are your tire sizes? Are you running any spacers now or just the current offest of your c63 style wheels?

And should I consider a little bit of a different look on my drop considering yours is a cabriolet and mine is a coupe or it will come out exactly like yours (which is what I want)

Thanks

The 1.3/1.1 kit is for the cab, extra weight, the 1.4/1.3 is for the standard coupe. To adjust the wheel gap I'm going to go from a #3 to #4 rear spring pad.

Thanks for the clarification...Post pictures when you get it done...

I wonder if the cab weight and the coupe weight cause that much of a true difference considering eibach only has a one size drop for both the coupe and cab...

You wouldn't take it to a body shop, you would take it to a mechanic. Where are you located?

Eurotrash's pic is photoshopped. Check out Angelo's post on the wheels and tires sticky, post #60.

Exactly...thanks Wes...

JPH: I 100% love the springs from every aspect from aesthetic appeal to comfort...if you're looking to get the exactly look of Eurotrash's photoshopped picture you'd be best going with coilovers...

ok thanks everyone however still not sure on this, I orderd the H&R sport springs - I have the convertable so I need to order my rear pad - can anyone tell me the number I need to order to get a close to level look or should I say a level look from the top of tire to wheelwell not concerned too much if the front under carriage of car is a bit lower then rear I just want the rims/tires to have nice placement in wheelwells. Thanks

You will have to go with a high number pad.

Probably spring pad 4 cause you have the extra weight from the top...

No #5 for our w209 as I've only seen the part #'s up to #4...
