squeaking pulley on 2007 clk350 coupe
Hi,
Recently, I purchased a CPO 2007 CLK350 coupe (14K miles). Gem of a car, but this week it developed a noticable squeal when idling, which gets quite loud upon acceleration. Spent some time under the hood, and determined it's one of the serpentine belt pulleys...can't pinpoint which one. I don't want to mask the problem by spraying lubricant over the belt and pulleys, as I plan to call the service dept.
Curious if anyone else has experienced this problem with this model??
thx

No pix yet...but good question, no package indicated on the window sticker. The car has power leather seats, burl walnut interior wood trim, heated seats, standard stereo and 6 disc changer CD. [ No sport package , no bluetooth.] I didn't want a car with too many gadgets...less to go wrong. thx (not Indonesion..isn't that for another site! lol)

Just spray WD-40 onto both side of the belt.

Squeaky pulley Root Cause ----
Didn't want to spray wd-40 on the belt, as that would only have masked the larger problem temporarily. Brought car to M-B...techician performed "DTB S-B-83 55/87f March 2009" which must be some sort of service bulletin remediation. In short, they removed & replaced the Air Conditioning V-belt clutch kit and replaced the engine belt.
Problem solved...excellent service, covered under warranty... and this customer is happy !
PS....to the other posts...the car does not have bi-xenon headlights (I actually prefer the yellower light) , and it does not have keyless go.
Thank you for your interest.
