Quick winter tire question
Ok so now we run 245 40 17 size in the back. ( clk 350)
I am could get a great deal on a set of a pair with 245/55-17 size
Both are DUNLOP SP WINTER SPORT M3 SNOW TIRES
Any problems running with this. I am not buying front winter tires. I just had a bubble on one and bough a new set a month ago.
Any info or help would help.

That is a lot bigger than what you have on there now in regards to height. The stock diameter is 24.7" where as the 55 series will be 27.6", it's going to throw your speedo out by almost 12% and you quite possibly will have a lot of issues with it rubbing on the wheel well.

I used Nokian WR's - absolutely f'in incredible tire. They are classified as an 'All Weather' tire, not all season, big difference;

They wear quickly in the summer because of the design and soft compounds but for the cooler weather and winter, wow, amazing grip. I got my sister & brother in law, parents and other family & friends on them as well. The winters in Alberta (Calgary & Edmonton) are brutal, tons of snow, cold -30*C & -40*C/F weather and a good 5 - 6 months of it, if the tires work like a charm there, they will anywhere.
