I wanted to order the parts for the auxiliary port for my car, I was looking through my car before ordering it and to find out, I don't see no white port for it but I find an empty black port with blue wires... I was wondering if that's the auxiliary port or not? If it is, which part number do I have to get in order to get the right one?
Ok... I have checked it many times and i have not seen any of the white harness except for one but it is occupied... Plz someone give me an explanation on how to find the auxiliary harness. Thank you.
Takes a pics of the occupied harness ...I did that not too long ago. Here are the pics but just forgot to take a pics for the white harness ( you will have to look carefully caused it sit at the very botttom) .
i don e this myself too. Got the part from my dealer. The white harness is a little hard to find lol it took me a while too but you will find im sure. Just careful not to cut your finger like i did
I have forgotten to mention that without the command/navi ,will it still have the harness cause i do have the option to go on aux input... Should i call the dealer and ask about it?
that is exactly my radio looks like but still i cannot find the white harness... just an empty black harness... does anybody mind taking a pic of the end of the white harness to see if it matches with my black harness?? if so, please do. Thank you
I found the plug to be much further forward than expected, and under a lot of other wiring. Look for a white connector with yellow/brown/black/black wires. The photos in these posts helped me:
hi! i was wondering if you had any success with your project? I have a CLK 350 (2007) and would like to do the same thing. It's been a LONG 4 years without an ipod to listen to! What is the harness cable part # you ordered for your car? I think we have the same vehicle! ANY help or tips would be SO appreciated.
So to get things straight: Every facelifted CLK has this connector pre-installed, right?
It's not like the phone pre-wiring thing, this comes pre-wired always, so anyone can install the aux input like this?
Cheers!
Edit: I've read on some forums that this connection comes installed with the COMAND option, can anyone confirm that... Doesn't really sound like mercedes this
Like a fine wine, the post has aged gracefully. I wish I could say the same. But it is hot outside and there is nothing in the wire way to plug the aux input I just added to the glove box.
Its an 07 CLK-350 convertible which has the Harmon-Kardon system with the cd changer in the glove box, but does not have the navigation. It has the bluetooth adapter for the phone in the console which was installed by the dealer when the car was new.
The only plug that is not mated is a black one with far more wires than the 4 I need an are not even close in color. I found the white plugs but there is something already plugged in AND, the color sequence is wrong.
I am at my wits end guys. Everything up to this point has been text book to the photos and information provided on this thread. What is missing in the dang little plug! Any thoughts or suggestions that does not include a trip to the dealership?

I also have a 07 clk350 and I just looked for the white harness and couldn't find it. I've done this before on a 2000 clk with no problems. Can anyone confirm if it is 100% prewired with it on a 2007?
I did find a black harness with nothing attached to it. Can that be it? If not does anyone know what this harness is for?
