Black Series Strut Bars
What's up guys. I wanted to share some pics of the BS strut bars. This is actually Kevwood's set. I did him the favor of ordering them and I will be shipping them out to UAE. So here are some pics before they get packed away.

I'm really looking forward to getting them on my car. My major focus/efforts are going into suspension, I'm joining the local roadracing clubs here and going to be doing a lot of racing like I did in Canada but this time on the 2 F1 tracks (Dubai & Abu Dhabi) this winter. These BS bars are certainly going to help complete the suspension package I planned out.
They came with the mounting hardware/bolts right?

I'm a little confused..? What hardware came along with the bars? The bolts for them are a seperate item to buy?

I guess the bars were so cheap MB couldn't afford to supply the bolts with them

Ya, me too. Thanks for noticing that and snagging the bolts for me! On the topic of suspension, I have been waiting on Koni since JULY to send me dampers (via UAE distributer), just got an email that they sent 4 a few days ago, 2 are the wrong part numbers... I figured I would have had the shocks, springs and sways installed months ago now.

Congrats Kevwood! ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
With the suspension mods and paddle shifters, you're going to have quite the track monster on your hands!

Ala your car; I swore to myself (and the wife) that I would not go Kleemann as this is a fun car to play with for a few years until I get my dream car and don't want to spend big bucks for nothing in return. BUT, I'm thinking that after I get it on the track all the Dubai Astons, Ferarri's, Bentleys, Ms, AMGs and others are going to make me want to have a few extra ponies under the hood. It'll never be the fastest but 500hp will really balance it it and make for a great little track car.
We'll see, hell, I haven't done one damn mod yet!

Lol, it could be! I won't have the most modded CLK or the fastest by any means but it should be a pretty nice package when it's done. If all goes right the car should look like it came that way from the factory, nothing over the top. The fun part will be getting it all done in stages in a matter of a few weeks. The only thing that will be put off for a while will be the steering wheel and shift pads - I'm going to have them shipped to Canada then bring them back in my luggage when I am there in April.
So many of you guys have been fantastic in helping me not only find the parts I was looking for, but also in giving opinions on what may or may not look right. I never could have sourced all the parts for this project in such a short amount of time (all the stuff I had sent to Canada to be moved with my main shipment) without the help of the W209 members on MBWorld.

How much for that bar Wes ? Someone here installed on their SLK but not sure where they got it...it looks kinda different from the black series bar. I still remembered they were saying they got it from germany but idk.

I think they were $1200 shipped to his house, I can't remember the exact price.

Andy, both front and rear bars were $1120 shipped to my door through parts.com. The front bar is $592.25 and the rear is $379.50.
I believe that the bar on the SLK you posted above is a Wiechers bar. Those are much cheaper, but I think the fitment isn't 100%. With the Wiechers front bar, the V8's have to remove it to remove the airbox. Kind of a hassle.
Side Note: Seeing these bars everyday makes me want to get mine asap. The workmanship is awesome!

Thanks. All the suspension will be done at once so the difference is going to be night and day but I'll certainly post the results. What I plan on doing is to track my car once bone stock with my GTech Pro RR and get lap times and g's (I'll do some 1/4 mile runs on a desert road too for data logging). Then after all the mods I'll do it again, that will show some real data.
