If I decide to install 320km/h dial (AMG), I would need to reprogram the speedo. Can it be done?

Nope, you shouldn't have to re-program the speedo. It can be done. I recently took out my cluster to change the bezel, and saw that it would be fairly easy to change the dials.

  • Received the white KMH dial, seems like OEM.
  • Made couple of hooks from a dry-cleaner hanger (no need to waste $30+ for MB hooks).
  • Took out the complete speedo (piece of cake).
  • Comfortably at home, complete dis-assemble - VDO speedo is a Lego for the smart adult - need Torx. Remember the time to put back correctly!
  • Used heat fan to take out the glued dials
  • Used soap before sticking the new dials, make it right and complete with heat fan.
  • Total time: approx 1.5hours

Not pics of the installation, I have already done it on my car. I meant pics of the dials.
