Fahrenheit -> Celcius, orange DRL off ?
Got a CLK550 (a beast from the States, and was very surprized that I cannot change Temp to Celcius in the menu (did it in E and ML). Asked MB dealer, they said they cannot do it with STAR
Same thing with orange DRLs, they took the fuse out (but it trigger the error message).
PLS HELP!

you can turn off your DRL w your menu. I did turned off mine when i bought the car and if i remembered right then you can change the F to C (its in the menu too..just have to play with it). I saw that when i turned off mine DRL.

You mention the car is from the States, where are you located? Did you import the car or did someone else?

I am in Switzerland, CLK550 is from the States (the previous owner was in TX, I bought from a dealer in NJ).
By DRLs i meant the orange markers on the front bumper, not the main HID headlights (these are easy to turn Manual/Automatic).
There is no Celsius in the menu, it is my third MB, I know it by heart.

If he meant that then either paint his side markers to the same color or used the resistors to pass all that error messages on his dash ( do this only when you taking out the bulbs). Same process that when we did the LED license plate "back then".

But what I do with the Celsius?? I look at the manual and cannot believe it - you can change the F <-> C in w209 pre-restyle (CLK500), but cannot change in CLK550!!! What idiot in MB decided to do that???

He's right, I do not have that option to change the temperature on my 07 CLK350 too. Even an 05 C230 has that option. Plus, parking assist option is not available for me. My dealer told me that I can have them activated for a price.

Yeah I'm completely confused too....I can do all of the above on my 500...
I don't see how Mercedes would change it from one trim to another especially if it's a higher trim...

You may have to go into STAR and reconfigure your car to ROW instead of US for some feature to be available. Have you tried that?

They must have those bean counters polled that most consumers don't care or bother with these features so they left them out. Save a few pennies.
