I spoke to them a few times and they swear that you can't see the original trim peaking out from underneath but I'm not so sure. I asked them if they would sell some of the pieces individually so I could see the quality but I haven't heard back.

hmm....I'm also worried the pieces will stick up too much.

I was seriously thinking about going this route until I spoke to DCT Motorsports who is doing my 9 piece interior for around $800. I felt like getting the real thing was worth the difference in price. I am still interested in seeing how this set looks, if anyone has done it.

overlay kits never look perfect... OK for a lesser car, But I would not do it on your car Lowpost. I did a kit on my expedition as well as the wifey's cabrio and it looked good, but you could tell it was not factory for sure.

I think a better option would be to have the factory trim wrapped and clear coated.

I wanted to pull the trigger on that many many times but i too asked if they would sell individual pieces but no reply...

so i went ahead and bought some red carbon fiber vinyl and will cover the pieces myself.

The wood wheel would be hard to wrap true and would look off unless u can buy a sporty cover or smth to blend it in...

I will definitely post pic of the wrap i believe it should look pretty exotic and cant wait to get it done. I just need to straighten out the LED puddle lights this Monday; 2 weeks of terror with those lol

I bought one of these kits and it appears to be good quality. The cf has good depth to it.

My car has been in the shop getting kleemanized for the past 2 mo's...... so I won't be able to comment on fitment/looks until she comes home... hopefully by new years.

I'll post up some pics of the over lay on the center console so you can see what's what.

I agree if it has gaps... I'll just re-sell this on fleabay and get the orig parts wrapped for $800.

More to come.

+1. I've seen lot's over overlay kits and they all look cheap in my opinion. Wes and I are both going through DCT for interior mods and for $800 you can't go wrong - perfect layout and professional finish. If you're going to keep the car even for a year longer it's well worth the money.

Overlay is great for a 3 series but a CLK deserves better

lol

800 is too expensive for me though i know the results are flawless in it.

I will just vinyl wrap mine in red and hope it will come out good

I am just scared removing the door trims the thing looks hella hard damn

Do you have a wooden steering wheel? When you are ready to do the door panels, I could give you my number and I will walk you through it. It's a lot easier the second time around.

NP. My girl has one, I could always use hers. Apple still has me waiting on the white one. At this point I might wait until the 5 comes out.
