I though there was no way you could play a DVD
with our W209 NAV because Alpine makes it...
Soo this plug and play, make the NAV DVD slot makes DVD movie

Just stick in a DVD movie while you are parked. If it plays DVD, you have DVD playback enabled and if it doesn't then you don't have DVD playback. If you dont have DVD playback enabled, I believe you can go to your dealer to update the firmware to enable paly DVD.

My personal opinion, I don't believe they are region free DVD. Why don't you test to find out? Home DVD players can be programed, I assume you can do that on any DVD player but I'm not the expert so you need to do some research regarding that matter.

NO! This module is not about turning your Head unit or NAV DVD slot to paly DVD. If your head unit or NAV DVD plays movie but wont show in motion, this module would allow you to watch it when you are driving. That is all. If your DVD NAV slot works with DVD movie but you can't watch it when you are not in parked, this module would enable you to watch it.

Damn... 2 years ago, they told me that it would unblock the code on my NAV to play movies DVD. Back then, I couldn't find ayone that would be able to install it near my area. I was still under the same impression now. It funny that knew about it but didn't want to post it more clearly.

My fault if you had any misunderstanding but I thought providing simple document would be enough but I guess there are more detail information that is required. We will work on providing as much detail info next time.

And you didn't even correct me after 2-4 posts telling people that the SmartTV unblock the code and allow us to play movies DVD.

You just PM us where u can get installed, and we called couple of place to find you a better price and we found the place for you.

My command unit can play DVD even I am in US. Steve replaced my unit.
I needed this products.
Anyway you are not 100% correct.
Some of us in US still can use this product.
