It's a common problem regarding the loose nut behind the steering wheel

Thats speed rating, tread wear numbers are like 320, 400, 440, etc... the higher the number the harder the compound, the longer the life. In your case though, I still say it's the loose nut behind the steering wheel and no matter what tire you mount it's going to be bald in a hurry.

Vroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom

2006 Facelift CLK500 Cab-

Let me know how those KDW's ride/road noise, I had a set on my SRT but they weren't nearly as wide as these car's tires. Very grippy though.

I'd also like to hear the Merc' Dealer's response if you told them how quickly your car is consuming tires. I can just imagine him wincing.

I dont think everyone in here is changing 4 tires every year.
My set of tires when i bought the car was on it for 6 months and i stayed with them for another year and a half or so.
That was because i had a terrible alignment problem.
Do you really burn out a lot or drive crazy with your CLK? Must be very tempting considering you have a 550

He burns out like crazy. He spent the whole summer burning out.

If you count the stock wheels and tires, I have had 5 sets of each in 3 years of owning the car.
