No prob. I didn't include the fender liner instructions, but if you need the let me know. (The liner isn't that hard to take off.)

Will let you once the lights come in. Now, it is a waiting game ...

Got both lights in today. A total surprise because they are from different sellers. One of them looks perfect. All the mounting tabs are original and the lens is clean/scratchless. The other one has the top tab fixed. It looks pretty good as far as I could tell.

One does not have the rubber piece (seal?) going around the entire housing. So my question is whether I could take that piece off my existing light and put it on the new light .. or is it HID specific "seal." If it is not interchangeable, can I get the rubber piece from the dealer?

Cannot wait to install. Might have to wait until it is warmer or bite the bullet and have a shop do the install.

Decision decision

The seal is interchangeable so go ahead and pull it off and swap. Its not a part that is easy to get anyways. I remember a thread from way back where it was not available separately from the light, but now there are plenty out there since the cars are more plentiful. I put the xenons on my CLK and originally put the newer style before switching to the older style as they were a couple pounds lighter. I should probably sell those others some time...

Got the bi xenons today I noticed they dont have the rubber seal on them but i will just use the ones from the headlights have.
Also i will get some headlight restoration work done on them. They have some salt on the lenses...

Now the high beam on this ones how would it work? Would i need rewiring or will it just work with the stock plug from my car?
Is the high beam xenon??

Also Dyno have you talked to your guy about painting your headlights black like Gary's?

They look good, and after some work they will be even better. Not sure about the high beam, never really use it. Besides the xenon=present code, everything else is plug and play. I haven't talked to my guy cuz I'm waiting on Badblack to find out about his guy. lol. I will ask tomorrow though.

Ok thats good to know.

Tell blackbenz to hurry up lol. I was thinking to get them painted first than put them on unless i find someone trusted in my area. As i see it is not an easy task and i cant afford to mess this lights up...

I have decided to 'bite the bullet' and have the professional installed them. It comes out to $180.00. They called this evening and said it is done. However I don't have transport to pick my car up tonight so will have to bump a ride tomorrow to pick it up. Will try to post pic soon. Cannot wait ...

$180 is a bargain. In fact after I did mine I installed 3 sets for others for $350 and $400 without setting the diagnostic. Good thing I don't have time to do this anymore. However I do still have a set of the '06 and up xenon for the CLK. I put the older style in my car. Offers pm me.

350 to install the headlights?? Wow i would never come to you haha.
Most of the members in here would buy the bixenons from you if your price is reasonable.

I asked the guy today to restore my headlights and he said he rather have them on the car before he does it since it would be easier for him.
Gonna leave an appointment with the body shop to get this bad boys on. I guess painting them will have to wait unless Dyno gives me good news today lol

Most of the CLK owners in Ohio are afraid to work on their own cars and don't want to pay dealer price. I was quoted "around $2000" by the dealer just to put them in. Otherwise known as "we don't want to do it". The service manager actually sent a guy to me after he saw I had done a couple. Bear in mind this was a year or 2 back. Times have changed a bit and the cars are not worth as much as they used to be.

Here they are ...

They also fixed my driver window rattled when slammed close. I thought it was like that since it is a pillarless window. They fixed it and now no more rattle when closing.

They charged me $180 for headlights installed and xenon activation. $60 to fixed the window. They said the window regulator would have cost $500.00.
