Headlight fitments question.
Gonna make this quick. I am about to opurchase bixenons for my car but want to make sure before.
Will headlights from a 2005 CLK 500 fit my 2006 CLK 350?
Also this tab is broken but will be fixed from the seller.
IS that just a clip or a beam adjuster?

Anyway i can find part number for each car and compare them?
I am 99% sure they are the same but want to hear form someone who upgraded their lights

I am wondering if these headlights are 'hot.' Stolen. I found a lot of them on Ebay for different makes and they mostly have the tabs broken. I remember a few years ago there was a story that HID housings were stolen from vehicles especially Lexus because they could be popped off easily by just 'bumping' at the correct area on the bumper. Anyone remembers that?

I do remember that story even with Nissan Maxima headlights...
I would say it would be pretty hard to remove a CLK headlight with the hood closed. I mostly think these are cars that have been in accidents.
In my case the guy said he works with body shops and some customers go like: OH there is a little scratch here you think we can get new ones and so they do. Kind of like an insurance scam.
He buys the headlights for dirt cheap and sells them on ebay for a profit.

Ok, I too took the plunge and bought a set of xenon lights off Ebay from two different sellers. Mine came out to a little more than $900.00.
So, I guess my next question is how do I remove the bumper to install these housings and how to get them activated. What questions or procedures to ask/tell the dealer?
Cannot wait for them to come

You need to go to the dealer and set your lights to Xenon- Present.
Removing te bumper i cant help you with. My WIS license expired and i am downloading another one as i am typing.
Dyno could prob help you out on that though!
