Hung out at the shop for most the day BS'ing with the owner and watching them do a bunch of body work and painting, lot's and lot's getting done;

As for the audio, trunk is 95% done, just needs some adjusting and a whole lot of cleaning. Thought I'd put up just one teaser pic for you guys;

More pics tis week guys. The shop is having a mag come over and do an article on the business & take pics, the owner wants my car in the spread, so, it should be all put back together and polished up in a few more days.

As for the trunk, I'll just say this, I designed it to flow with the theme of the rest of the car, white, black and carbon. I might it be very good at picking my installers anymore but I can still design one hell of a great sounding & looking system

Kev, will the mag be in English? Not that we'd need it, since we've been following your story like "As The World Turns". Suppose they"ll have a pic and little blurb about your audio installer??

You will, of course, post a really good video of the baby. No pressure, you understand.

There are a few local car mags here, all English. The car is also going to featured in an online mag, more details about that later on. And no, there will be no mention of the audio clown that as of today is well over 130 days and still not finished.

Yep, a video of the car/audio/performance will get put together over the summer and posted on YouTube.

More updates today I hope, yesterday was a holiday here.

Stopped by and saw the car after work yesterday, the audio clown is still no where to be found but everything else is moving along really well. I'm extremely impressed with the body/paint work, so much in fact that I'm having a few more things done.

At this rate, it will be finished and sent for interior detailing (thanks to the pig audio clown) on Saturday/Sunday then it's picture time

First of all, thank god you got that car without a missing screw back.

WOW glad you have it back, now get her done and start finally to enjoy your creation instead of leaving it at shops for month...been there, done that...look at me as soon I got it I I was so unhappy with it, to much stuff I went through with my project car like I felt it had a bad karma or something and sold it right after, yep cars do live...they dont like you, you gonna feel lol

Hope you wont have the same prob with yours, Good Luck, cant await to see her in action!!!!

For those of you who have been following along, the AMG Black Series strut bars I bought were a big topic for a while, no one had or has since tried to get the, to work in a non BS 209, with good reason, the bars were over $1K USD plus shipping. I'm sure everyone remembers this;

This is not a simple mod whatsoever.

I ripped the trunk apart to get working on the rear bar and quickly figured out that the bar itself is too long and the brackets do not work with the non-BS set up. I'm going to have to cut the ends off the bar to be able to fit it in the car, then weld on the ends after the correct lengths have been determined then hack the living ***** out of the brackets and re-weld them to work with the body we have.
Originally, I had thought that the installation wouldn't be an issue as I/we were told that it was just a matter of drilling a few holes for the new brackets, obviously as stated in bold text above, that was not the case.

In the end, the bar did indeed need to be shortened and re-welded. The brackets ended up being useless so complete new ones had to be designed and made. The strut tower when had to be drilled and the brackets bolted into place. It turned out to be a very time consuming and expensive project but, most importantly, it was not abandoned and now the rear bar is in place;

I had the bar wrapped in carbon fiber to flow with the rest of the design for the car, it was also integrated into the design of the custom audio system (more pics of that later). After I get the car back and all cleaned up I'll get some better resolution pictures for you guys, the one above was snapped off my iPhone.
