Top Noise / Rattle / Squeak
Hi,
I just purchased a 2007 CLK 550. The car is great. But, after my first car wash (not sure if this was the cause), the soft top rattles like chitty-chitty-bang-bang!
It is embarrassing, lol. The car wash was a touchless water spray only. I am still under factory warranty and I also have the extended warranty. So, I plan to take it into the dealer soon.
The noise seems to come from the front and back. The noise is the same with the windows down. It is very cold out, so I have been able to put the top down to take a a look myself. I am wondering if something needs to be greased or replaced.

How cold? On my cabrio, once the outside temp drops below 35-37 (whenever I see the snow flake by the temp display), the front by the light squeaks. Warning up the cabin does not help

Same Problem with My Roof
The cold weather and bumps cause a loud squeaking, is it difficult to do the lubrication yourself or do you need to have it serviced for this problem? I thought at one time the convertible roof was not in alignment. New issue is that same side now is leaking slightly after heavy rain.
