damn stealership! i mean dealership!!
i been looking everywhere for a deal on bi-xenon headlights, but no luck! so i was curious to what the dealership would price it at.....$3000 for the pair and install....i was like wtf!
i searched for post related to this topic and everyone is saying it is a simple swap. well the dealer was saying that i would have to buy the pair of headlights, bulbs, ballast, new wires, blah, blah, blah!
what is the truth and people's experience on the swap. any issues?
i apologize in advance if this has been beaten to death already....

Thats why we have forums like this to beat them.
Look for deals on eBay. Most of us got them there for about 600 to 800. It is plug and play the only thing you need a stealership to do or a Indy shop is program your computer to Xenon - Present which should not cost you more than 1h labor.
Do a search and you will find lots of users with this question.

i will have some before and after pics of my ride in a few weeks. i got some work being done to it as we speak....they been working on it for the past 4 weeks and running on 5!
i made a payment on the car and havent driven it 1 mile in all of january!
the best deal i found was for $1400 for the pair at a salvage yard....

That price is the polite way of the dealership saying they want nothing to do with that . You should be able to find them used like Clkboi said on eBay. I found mine there. Afterwards you could take them to an Indy shop to get them programmed.

Lol, if your switching to xenons it's because you have halogens.

some of the CLKs came stock with xenons.
some of the guys just bought and replaced them. that will be the last of my mods to the clk. lol trying to get my hands on an amg kit first =)

all the benz models come stock with xenons except for c class and clk class....even 2008 mazdas and hyudais come stock xenon headlamps!

i stand corrected....sorry fellas. i have noticed every single benz when i am driving around and it seems like they all have the xenon lamps except for those two classes. also, 3 out 4 clks that i see on the road have halogens! and i am one of them....hopefully not for too long
