So didn't get to see my brother for christmas so I'm going to FT. Benning to see him next weekend and decided to make him a 3d bat 75th Ranger REG. themed gift. (he's 9 yrs active duty)
kinda got the plasma cutter dialed in and drew this up and cut it out
Sprayed some flat green/taped off the bones and sprayed the texture/added the ranger sticker
Sprayed over the texture with flat black and did a little accenting around the eyes and whatnot

I was with a buddy up at big 10 tires dropping his truck off to get the brakes redone earlier and we ended up talking about valve cover jobs:
Me: Yea I just did the gaskets on that car. (mine)
Them: looking at each other confused "really?" "how long did it take you? because we just charged a guy $700 in labor to do a car pretty similar"

Also recently picked up a portaband metal saw. Then proceeded to get this table from troy at SWAG off-road that makes it a vertical bandsaw. Absolutely loooooove itttttttttt. Un do one little hand screw and its back to portable.

Oh it's on! haha. I absolutely love those guns but unless you work for some tactical company or are in the army and "acquire" it (like my brother) then ammo is just too expensive. Those hold 30 round mags and every bullet is close to $1, it adds up quick haha. I would love one for home defense though.
I always wanted one of those but never ended up getting it before I moved. Perfect cuts, very accurate unlike a chop-saw.

James, i hope you dont mind im adding my little project made by sheet metal . I am taking an aircraft strutural mechanic training right now. Everyone has to pick their own projects and i decided to make this a little bird house ..not sure why but suppose to make an airplane but it turned out a bird house lolz.

Nice! haha.Do you use shears and presses to cut everything out? You guys use pop rivets for everything? Are they going to teach you how to TIG weld at any point? The projects all look awesome!
