05 CLK55 Cabrio
Thanks for the compliments folks. It does seem that this car is confused about when it was made. It has the old style tails (which I love). The updated interior with nav and everything. BUT.... It has the new style gearshift knob with the Mercedes emblem on it. Most of the cars I looked at had the old style knob on it.

The car has 46 k on it. Runs like a dream. My only criticism would be the tranny. I don't really like how it doesn't shift that sharp or aggressive no matter what mode it is in.

Btw: it's hard to tell. But do these cars have TPMS?

i'm not sure, but perhaps prior owner drove it too gently, and there's a way to reset the ECU and have car shift more aggressively? i'm VERY happy with the way mine is. also, the ECU will adapt so if you continue driving it aggressively, it should gradually shift faster.
also, i recall my mechanic saying this car's TPMS is based on the older/less expensive ones that are derived from the wheel angle sensor(rotation consistency?) - and not individual stems on the tires.

does this work for ALL MBs, or is this just for the CLK55? i know the dealer wanted to charge to do this....though it appears it's easy to do at home.

Mind posting a pic with the top down and the windows up. I'm tinting my windows on Sat and I like your setup. I'm debating limo tint or more subtle tint for all 5 windows.

I read the TCU reset thread and will do after I leave the office.
However, Why do we need to reset it every so often?

Just trying to understand the rational.

"No this is for TCU but many people search it as ECU thats why i named it that way, this will not erase tune. What this does it erases your driving history since you car adapts to it and retards the timing. "

lol the car retards the timing?

Very nice ride! I almost bought a C5 before finding a killer deal on my 55. I'm glad I didn't. I would've look sooo bright in the winter. I know the LS motors and the tranny of chevy, I had a 13 sec silverado ss with a stroker 408. If you want a firmer shift with your 55 you can either reset the tranny which will last only so long. Or you can do like I did : swith to blue top solenoids in the valvebody. Do a search on this the topic is in the W211 forum.
