rubbing issues after installing 19" wheels

I lowered my car with ebiach pro kit a few months ago but didn't install the 19" wheels because of snow in the area during the time. I got shorter lug bolts, M12X1.5 which the wheel company recommended. Well I installed, or should I say tried to install the wheels today and the now I'm getting the dreaded rubbing issue from the rear. I'm now blown away, shorter bolts and still rubbing. Should I get spacers, and if so, how thick. I do know the wheel bolts I have is indeed shorter than the stock bolts. Any Idea? I'll Post some pics tomorrow. thanks. 235/35 front and 265/30 rear.

where are you rubbing? do a search for rubbing...the most common area is where the bumper and quarter panel meet... you may need to trim slightly.
tire size seems fine, but what are the offsets on the wheels?

Rubbing seems to be coming from behind the hub or somewhere behind the wheel. Don't seem to be rubbing against anything. Also, the bumper/wheel connection seems to be good.

What would shorter bolts have to do with it? Do you think the bolts are hitting the ebrake?

Those sizes are proven with the correct wheel offsets.

Eliminate the bolts by taking a wheel off and sticking the bolt all the way into the seat and measure on the backside of the wheel where the bolt comes through. It should measure between 7/8" -1", no more, no less. Or leave a wheel on and remove one bolt. Put a mark on it with a pen or pencil and count the turns it take to seat in the wheel. This should be 6 1/2 to 7 turns.

Got to start somewhere. Good luck.

I do indeed think it has something to do with the wheel bolts hitting the ebrake, can't think of anything else. I jacked the rear up, put it in drive and allowed the rear wheels to turn without any gas and got under with flashlight and mirror and couldn't see anything rubbing. I'll take your advice tomorrow with measuring the bolt and go from there. thanks

If it were the bolts, you would be getting a clicking sound, not a rubbing one.

wheel bolts do not make rubbing sounds.

your wheels are probably rubbing the inner fender well if you put on too high of offsets.

The click may be a rub to him. Let's see what he says. Process by elimination.

longer bolts would only effect the rear though in terms of clicking from the e-brake correct?

I have heard that "click" on several cars before. Mine and others.

if its rubbing on the inner you might need to roll the fenders a bit.
