This Meguiars Plastic X really works

This is probably very old news for most of you guys here but its the first time i tried it and am surprised by the results.

I purchased xenon headlights for my car and the lenses were pretty messed up.

I was thinking to remove the lenses on my halogen lights and put them on the xenon ones but thought to give it a try first to restore them.
Only put a few minutes of work on them with great results.

I am getting the drill tomorrow and doing it the real way and it should come out eve cleaner

Before:

After 10 min of work:

Cant wait to get them even cleaner 2morrow hopefully

Bigger images for dramatic effects lol

Did you polish by hand? If you use a rotary buffer, you'll need less elbow grease, and it will be a bit more effective.

Good results though, i've used this a few times on my wheel centercaps. well worth it.

nice. i had some really yellow headlights and wet sanded them with like 6 different grits of sandpaper than used some aircraft grade plastic polish than this as the last step. they came out looking pretty good.

I paid $70 and had Bumper Doctor in San Diego buff out my headlights. It was a huge difference.
Slept and played Angry Birds in the lobby, almost broke a sweat.

I agree that polishing the headlights make them look so much better.

Like Dyno said i got them painted. I purchased them from ebay.

Painting them was extra. I should have the installed some time next week. I am waiting on a 3M clear bra so i can cover them and protect them from yellowing again. I might go with a very light tint as well not sure.

I am just worried if it will kill the point of having them blacked out though...

yea i am most positive they could, i would probably have to ask to make sure. evosport seems to have a high quality of work from what i have seen on other cars when i visit the shop. i am impatiently waiting for my car and i maybe i can make a better judgement based on my personal experience.

Finally got this done.
Not a hard job to do just time consuming. It took me and a friend about 1 hr to get them done.
Things that helped were the instructions i posted and the right tools

IMO they look great i will snap some better pic after a wash.

Dyno thanks a lot for the bulbs they look and work great.

I will stick with the 6000K i believe it looks really clean.

2morrow 3m clear vinyl goes over them to protect them also cover some of the scratches

Also new sticker went on

It looks great. What temp are the fogs? I would match them up to the headlights. Glad to hear the bulbs work considering they were sitting around for over a year.

Where did you get the sticker from? I would like one if possible. Did you install in on the outside or the inside?

EDIT: Dyno i found it i will ship this 2morrow to you just send me your address

Thanks Dyno.
Bulbs are 6K fogs are 8K i am thinking to change them all 6K as well. The 6K match perfectly with the city lights and rear license plate LED's.

I made the sticker at my school but lucky for you i have an extra one somewhere sitting somewhere in my room.
PM me your address again if you dont mind and i will send it to you

I played around with it and can make this designs too if you want.

BTW installed on the outside. Didnt want to mess up the tint from the inside

Awesome man. I will PM you now. If you could send the one that looks like yours, that would be great. I definitely think 6k in the fogs is the way to go to keep everything uniform. At least everything is installed and you only have to switch the bulbs.
