what do you guys thing? just had the opportunity to upgrade to the clk350/550 front end?

would i need new absorbers?

i found a wrecked clk 500 so i might be able to get my hands on the rear end and side skirts for relatively cheap. lol now im debating if i should get the used clk amg front end or a clk 350 front end.

Definitely an AMG bumper, not the 350. You should be able to use your absorbers.

sigh this project will once again be put on hold.

the guy on craigs with the wrecked clk doesnt want to part out. if i resort to ebay, a lot of those bumpers are cracked. so i either get they for cheap and get them repaired. repainting is already gonna cost me 600/each piece. i dont even know how much the guy would charge me for repair.

however thanks for the input guys. much appreciated.

for now i will be looking into a beater to drive around and save gas since the prices are going up.

You have a 320, how much are you really going to save on gas vs the cost and the costs associated with another car?

i figure as of right now, im getting about 14-16mpg city driving. but along with that, every 7.5k is a $90 oil change. any problems along the way = to more money.

with a secondary bucket with a sub 2 liter engine, cheap oil change with dino oil. less electrical= less problems too. so im looking to get at least in the mid 20s for gas mileage.

not sure but it just seems cheaper to drive a secondary car as a daily as opposed the benz.

EDIT: the car will probably be my friends old s12

i guess my gripe isnt about gas but also the maintenance that comes associated with owning a benz. yes i know the saying " you gotta pay to play." thats understandable but the last thing i wanna have happen is for something to break on my car and have it cost a pretty penny.

any advice on this is welcome.

i mean its still a toss up. but it just seems more sensible to get a secondary car to run around in that involves less maintenance
