KID - if the overall diameter of the bigger wheels/tires combo is larger than the stock 17" wheels/tires... then you get an effective lower gear ratio.... so lower revs / equiv mph..... and better fuel econ..... on the highway at least........ at least on paper.

Love the car!

I see. That makes sense actually. I just thought that bigger wheels = heavier = worse fuel economy. Thanks!

Lol, thanks, that's the real deal, no photochopping. It's going to look different again pretty soon.

Need some help here if anyone is familiar with 3 piece wheels. Specifically 19".

So I bought some Asanti wheels and the offset is totally wrong, but I good a good deal so I bought it anyways. Actually the offset is not even shown on the wheels at all. It came with 7.5" inner barrels in the front/2" lip, and 8" inner barrels in the back with 2.5" lip. The backs will fit with 20mm spacers (I tried it actually) but I don't really wanna run spacers, I'd rather have a bigger front lip.

I also have extra pieces front and backs that i bought elsewhere.
So here's what I'm thinking:
I run 7" inner barrels with 3.5" lips on backs and run 6.5" inner barrels with 2.5" lips on fronts. that'll make it 19x10 in back and 19x8.5 in front. I have most parts to make this happen except a 3.5" lip (I can order). I think this should work but would love to have any inputs from you guys around here.

Here's all the parts I have to make this happen (not all in pairs though)
Inner barrels:
two 19x8
two 19x7.5
two 19x7
two 19x6.5

Lips:
two 19x2 (one has a bend, hence I don't want to run 2" lips in front because I have to repair)
four 19x2.5 (one set polish, one set chrome)
one 19x3.5 (can get another one)
one 19x4 (can get another one)

I have a 05 clk 320, what's the max inner barrel/lip combo can I run on fronts/backs?
Can I run a 4" lip on back with the 7" inner barrel?

any input will be greatly appreciated. TIA!!!

Cool Got flush?!

18” AMG split spoke rims from 2006 CLS
18x8.5 ET+25
18x9.5 ET+28

Hankook Ventus V12
225/40-ZR 18
255/35-ZR 18

No spacers, no mods. Different bolts were needed. Offsets pushed them out nicely!

Hi guys, read this thread about 100 times but want to be sure on fitment. This is for a clk500 not clk55.

Looking at getting a set with these size:
Size : 19x8.5 (F) & 19x9.5 (R)
Bolt pattern : 5x112
Offset : 32mm (F) & 35mm (R)

Would you recommend a spacer in the back? Some say 35 is fine but others say 25 is ideal, so will I need a 10mm spacer? Any spacers needed up front?

Coinciding with this... I have someone who wants to sell me some tires at a discount (unrelated to wheel seller). Specs are Nexen Sport ZR:

265 30 ZR 19
235 30 ZR 19

According to the offset list that was attached many pages ago, 235/35/19 would be more ideal for the front correct? Would these fit without issue anyways?

Front:
19x8.5 +43 235/35/19

Rear:
19x9.5 +50 265/30/19

Anyone know if I can fit these rims on the clk? What size of spacers should I use?

Those offsets are WAY off where you need to be. Ideally you want the fronts sitting at +30 and the rears at +25. I would never use spacers to make up that much of a difference.

Pass.

Damn. Was hoping to pick up a set of Works off a C63. Would +33 on the rears fit or is a spacer needed?

+33 would work just fine on the front and rear. Most aftermarket wheel retailers pedal +35 for both front and rear for our cars.

What do you guys think of these specs?

20x8.5" 35 ET Front
20x10" 40 ET Rear

Probably run a 5 or 10mm spacer in the rear. Oh heck, maybe a 20mm lol.
