thanks Gixxerboy.. appreciate the quick reply.

i'll try the spare wheel bolts for fit and see how much longer i need to go, or if they're the right length.

wrt bolt style, is this the difference between tapered and radius, or is there something else i need to consider? like the thread

yes there is a difference between tapered and radius, that the shape of the head where it seats into the wheel, you have to look at the shape of the whole of the wheels to see what style you have.
Thats all you need to consider which head style and length

ok, so i measured the hole diameter on the new wheels and they're 15mm across. can i run 12mm bolts in this? do i need some sort of custom bolts with M14 seats and M12 thread?? are there washers i can use to fill the gap?

no washers just get the correct style seats, my wheels are off an e class that takes larger diameter bolts also, its not issue using the smaller bolts

Here is the best pic i was able to get of the clearance on the inside of the front wheel. I can fit my pinky between the strut and wheel

I don't think a 235 with a 9" would fit if that's the clearance you have, correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah 245 mm is about 9.6". What size spacers do you use again? PM is on your way about the spacers you have available.

Just bought a 2006 CLK cabriolet, does anyone know what current factory wheels will fit?

What I would be looking for is 17 or 18 inch takeoffs from a MB dealership.

For anyone who is curious how certain offsets sit, here we go. There are many factors that play a role wether or not it fits or not: Offset, tire brand, suspension etc.

19x8.5 ET24 (225/35/19)
19x10 ET20 (255/30/19)

H&R Coil Overs. Stock Camber.

Exhaust tips

They're no brand, custom made. My guy had to build a y pipe and connect these tips because they were the only option at the moment that somewhat fit the dimensions between the diffuser. I still plan on ordering the AMG tips as I like the oem look.

At the dealer today, they want to replace the front wheel hubs???? Only $2000 because they also have to replace the wheel bearings and wheel balance and alignment.

I am still looking at what factory rims will fit my 2008 CLK 350 Cab. I like the 18 inch E class multi spoke A212 401 5502 7x45 with ET of 48 comes in just the ET48. The other E class 18 inch rims use an ET of 54 for the rear.

Will these fit of do I need an ET closer to 35? I want the factory rims as they are available from dealers as take offs, and are usually forged and lighter.

My 2006 CLK 350 Cabriolet Capri Blue is bone stock, although I will probably put the CLK 500 brakes on the front. I really want factory rims as they are forged and usually lighter than after market. I always go with W rated tires as it gets hot here in Lost Wages. Not much into super power now that I have 7 grandkids.

What ET for I need for the front and rear not using spacers, with 18 inch and 19 inch rims?

Thank you

Can someone identify the wheels shown on post 781
oem w219 wheels
by GunMoto.

He identifies the ETs, the bolt size and length, great post.

I think they would look good on my stock cabriolet

OK there are a lot of CLS wheels out there (2006-2011) with ETs of 25/28 and 28/33.
Seems the 2012 and later have larger ETs.

So many have tires with the wheels, 8.5" ET 28 tire 245/40/18 and rears are 9.5" ET 33 tire 275/35/18

So will these fit on my stock 2006 CLK 250 and can they fit with spacers.

New wheels

Hi guys, recently bought my CLK280, and as nice as it is, it was in need of some wheels..
Ended up fitting Koya SF06 in 19x8.5 with 235/35 on the front, and 19x9.5 with 265/30 on the rear..

Got my CLS rims today, black powder coated. ET 30 front @ 8.5 inches, ET 33 @ 9.5 inches rear.

My 2006 CLK lugs are 1.55 inches past the ball, or 39mm. Put into the CLS rims there is too much length past the rim, 1 5/16" or 33.3 MM.

I have some other lugs left over 7/8th inch past the ball, leaving 3/4 inches past the rims.

Otis Inc. has lug bolts 25, 26, 28, 30, 32, 35 mm shanks. What length would you recommend?

I was thinking 25 or 26 mm would leave about an inch behind the wheel.
