Hey Whatsup guys I recently fixed my car finally and Damn brooklyn roads damaged aanother rim. So both sets of rims that I have front rims are damaged so I was wondering if I mix and match for now till my other replacement rim comes instead of driving with a ugly spare up to 50 mph lol.

Here's the setup I have a heavier monoblock 5 18 9.5 et 35 that's in the rear it has a 245 40 18 bridgestone run flat. nd the other set is the same rim only a replica 19 9.5 et 37 265 30 19. Read this thread and it looks like it ended with 9.5 inch would be to wide. So I'm thinking of putting the replica 19 in the back since its a 265 30 and putting the 245 40 18 et 35 in the front. What do you guys. Think I'm lowered with hr and bilstein shocks. Or what's the smallest size tire I can put on a 9.5 rim, just tryin to figure out whether its better to keep the spare. For two weeks till the replacement comes, or try this out. It's just that my jack broke so I have to go to a tire shop to do this. Thanks any advice is appreciated.

9.5 is fine with either wheel if i'm reading what you said right. 255 is the smallest I would go on the 9.5.

More rubber on the ground can't hurt.

2004 CLK 320 vert
I hit a pothole and broke the front driver side rim and bent the rear driverside rim and Im looking for a replacement for the front Foose 19" . meanwhile I seen someone selling some aftermarket rims that came off of a SL500 18's 8.5" I was wondering if they will fit my car until I can find a replacement . Also what other rims from the MB factory will fit my 2004 CLK 320 convertible ? I heard you can use C - CLK - CLS - E - S - SLK , it seems like depending who you ask you get a different answer . I would appreciate any help on this , Mike http://tampa.craigslist.org/hdo/pts/2494989944.html these are the rims i was talking about . thanks

The bottom would be my choice of the two. Both are nice looking wheels.

The bottom wheel came stock on my GCC spec, great looking wheel. However, Im really liking that top one too, I'm imagining the gunmetal refinished in black...

Hi dynomite

Been following your work for a while and I'm pretty sure I'd end up going the same way suspension/wheel wise as you. Would it be possible to comment and clarify/give reasons for each change in setup? Perhaps like a lil review on each spring/damper setup - I'm quite keen to know what you think about each change. (Also have a 04 320)

I also noticed you may still have the rubbing whilst doing sharp turns - have you resolved this one yet?

Sorry for the delayed response, I have been really busy lately. The main reason for the suspension change was boredom. I wanted to try the other options out there. I have had the coilovers on for about a year and they have been awesome! I wanted the ability to adjust my height when I please and still have a comfortable setup.

As for the previous setups, they weren't bad, I just got bored. Can't go Into more detail cuz it was a while ago.

The minor rubbing is still there. No real way to fix it except maybe a thinner tire. I don't mind it, it's not that noticeabl.

What are your suspension goals? Looks, comfort, both?
