When I added 15mm spacers and running 265's they lasted right at 6k miles. After the camber kit and new tires and alignment normal wear. Just sayin'

DIY worked for me. A couple hours worth of work is all it took. The 12" measurement is spot on for the right camber. My post alignment needed not further adjustments. A great kit.

where did you go to get this installed??? haha i needa find a place to do it for that price assuming i need the camber kit. im liking the negative camber tho =p
I like it as well but will not feel the same when it comes to the cost of tire replacement As to the cost, that was done by my mechanic that does work after hours of his job at the MB dealer. If you are in Chicago area I can hook you up.

The work is very easy if you look at the DIY tutorial but in my case the cost to get it done did not justify the work I would need to do. Same goes for my oil changes, would cost me more to buy the oil then get it done by the mechanic.

PS. Found him on local craigslist and verified him working at the dealer by visiting.

Update: while driving on the Highway, I hit a bump and my rear tires rubbed the fender; now there is a chunk of tire missing. I have an fender rolling appointment tomorrow, I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Carlos, the fenders on my 500 are rolled from the factory, I would imagine yours are too. However, in the location where the rear bumper cover and fender meet, there is a 2 piece metal tab, I had mine ground down, it took a chunk out of my old 275's. Now, there are no issues in that location, just catching the very inside of the top of the fender when I had the 10mm spacers on (and I'm dropped). Go out and take a look in the rear fender and see if you can spot that tab I'm terribly describing (in Kuwait so I can't go out and post a pic for you) and see if it matches up to the tire damage.

Good luck.

soo i went to the tire shop today thinking that i would be able to get some potenza 760s on today. and im actually new the the whole aftermarket wheel and tire match up process.

so stock rear tires (my factory 16") says the load index is 95 and speed rating is H. so the shop told me they wouldnt recommend any tire getting a load index of 95. the 760s are a load index of 92.

so is he right and i cant get anything under a load rating of 95 or is he just trying to squeeze my wallet?

Thanks Kev!

I took my angle grinder and I found that panel you mentioned. I also ground away at the fender in the front, no rubbing now! Just to remind everyone, my rear et is 25 (wheel et 35 - 10mm spacer), I'm not lowered, and I'm using Michelin Pilot Super Sport 275/30/19 tire.

Some pics!

2012 E 350
Hello all

I am brand new to the forum. I just began lurking here for the past few weeks after the purchase of a 2009 CLK 350. Now that I have it I am looking to put some rims and tires on it and I have a couple of questions. Keeping in mind I am a little older (40 Years old) I am not looking for a racer look. I have been looking at usarims and have decided to go with 19 inch rims. The configuration that I have seen most is 19x8.5 in the front, and 19x9.5 in the rear.

1) Will this set up work?
2) What is the recommended tires 235 front and 265 rear?
3) Do I have to put spacers on?
4) If I have to put spacers on what is recommended?
5) What to do with the tire pressure monitor?

Thanks in advance for any help given, and I look forward to our interaction amongst one another.

1)yes
2) depends on what you want. look in the previous pages to get an idea with other ppls set ups. if all else fails, tirerack will give you their best recommendation for tires
3) depends on offset of the rim. more or less, will it rub with your inner fender
4) H&R hubcentric spacers is a must on the front. and you can go with radusa spacers in the rear
5) dunno

good luck and welcome to the forums. show us the rim you were thinking about getting!

UPDATE (didnt wanna double post): running bridgestone potenza s-04 265/35r18. will post pics up soon

Questions about my purchase

So i took the plunge and purchased my rims and tires from usarim.

MBZ-615-19-GMT-Tires-Mercedes style 615 19inch gunmetal rims Mounted with Conti DWS

235/35/19 in the front
265/30/19 in the rear

Talked to the guy at the shop and he stated that i will not have to get hub centric spaces. Is this true that i will not need spacers ? If not what kind and how much of a spacer will i need for front and rear

The Koni yellows are really superb, I love mine for the adjustability of daily and track use. Looking forward to seeing the black chrome too, I'm a huge fan of it.

but will it sits flush with the fenders ? I'm planning to buy a set with the same offset like he has . Right now , the car is lowered on H&R springs ( stock shocks) . I know that we covered pretty much all the offset and tire sizes here in this thread but what about the lug bolts ? How do we know which one is the right one for the rims that you are buying ? The questions are for all the CLK onwers not just for you Mka77 .
